Here’s some radio Crowley. I like the shading on this one
this is an obscure one but I wanted to share one of my favourite TV shows because it's vaguely Good Omens related.
so. there's this show called Look Around You. and it is one of the most deadpan comedy shows I have ever seen. series one is an Open University send up, educating you about a variety of things such as calcium, or ghosts, and series two is a parody of Tomorrow's World, showing off all sorts of modern things that will probably be big in the future. it's absolute utter nonsense.
why am I telling you this? because it's written by, and stars, Peter Serafinowicz, or as some of you know him, Radio Omens Crowley. and it's exactly the sort of thing Crowley would have a hand in. complete gibberish disguised as education. so. worth a watch for that alone I reckon.
I know it's available on iPlayer in the UK and there's clips on YouTube and it got released on DVD. warning: season 2, I think just the last episode, features some mild early 2000s typical transphobia, which as a trans person I'm okay with, largely because Serafinowicz was the first person to cut ties with his brother-in-law Graham Lineham over his transphobia and clearly now wouldn't stand for any of it. but also best to be aware so you can make your own choices.
My side profile in sunglasses looks vaguely like how I imagine radio!Crowley and I just got a huge surge of gender euphoria from that
Radio Crowley hasn't got the patience for these kinds of things
An outtake from the radio show.
we need to talk about radio omens more
so I just finished this series and lemme tell you; UNGODLY cheesy. ABSOLUTE wreck. I love it.
Not as gay as the book and show, but still has its moments, however the voices weren't all fitting; however that's not what this is about. I wanted to talk about Azi and his extreme personality difference that's driving me mad (in the good way)
Hes snobby. He's good hearted, but also kind of an asshole. He's sarcastic. He's a true bastard, okay, and the voice given to him just amplifies this. I love the idea that he's sorta rubbed off on other angels unintentionally while still having a good heart deep down, he's a brat and a bastard and all things snarky and stoic but it gives him charm and makes the differences just so much better. Also Radio!Aziraphale is a top pass it on
He brags about his wings to literally EVERYONE in the end and Crowley was no better with that, everyone's just like :0 and Azis like "yes yes. bask in the angelic PERFECTION that is my wings"
Crowley; "But demons wings are better groomed"
Azi; "....>:("
Like I love him so much he's so...idk. There's a different air about him than with book!azirpahale and show!aziraphale and i'm loving it, i'm 110% here for radio omens
So, can anyone tell me the reasoning behind the fanon belief that radio!Crowley fucks? He has a very deep testosterone soaked voice, and he delivers the "nice dress" line like he's checking out Aziraphale/Madam Tracey but I didn't notice anything else. Did I miss something? I could well have missed a crucial line in there somewhere...
