1D + Solo Songs: Radio Requests via Mediabase and Twitter!

Radio play is extremely important in terms of promo, and two important ways of requesting are via Twitter and Mediabase. It can be a bit tedious to do, and there’s so many stations throughout the US, throughout the world, that a list of a dozen stations is such a narrow focus and can be spammy, which isn’t the most beneficial. So...I’ve tried to make things easier by randomizing and streamlining requests into as few clicks as possible! 

I’ve made some improvements to these generators, so let’s recap, shall we?

Twitter Request Generator: randomizes stations and tweet text using this set of data. Handles multiple songs, countries, and languages. Additions can be submitted here. While the tweet text is randomized, it’s still a good idea to try to personalize it a bit, especially for countries where there aren’t many variations of tweets. May not work on connecting to the twitter app on your phone, but should be fine in browsers.

Mediabase Request Generator: randomizes stations using this set of data. Automatically polls stations and updates the songs that stations have added daily. Includes a summary tab so you can see how many stations have added each song and a history list of changes. You must use a US VPN, and you can submit multiple songs in one request. Automatically handles selecting the song vs a write-in vote depending on if the station has added the song you’re voting for.

Both request generators allow linking directly to the options, such as the country for the twitter generator, or which songs are selected on the Mediabase generator.

When a new song is released, all it takes is adding a row to the Songs tab in the data sheet. Nothing else has to be updated! (This makes Becca very happy! 😄) No more having to wait for me to set everything up again, just start requesting!

Please let me know if you encounter any issues or have any suggestions on how I can improve these generators (or something new). I want these to be as useful as possible for the fandom!

Interesting numbers update. INTD being close to gold is great news. So even though ILI is being added to radio today and it's time to start media base radio requesting and streaming it we still need to continue streaming INTD and Texoma Shore. Hope Number Nerd comes back and let's us know when INTD reaches gold so we can get fully behind ILI. Supporting Blake is almost like a part time job radio requesting and streaming.

People can do the following things:

- Keep streaming TS album and INTD, if you have multiple devices this should be simple

- Keep requesting ILI with your local radio stations and requesting blocks. I will post more on this when I get home
