18. do they view their relationship as temporary or permanent?

pretty permanent! they like each other a lot and they meet each others expectations pretty solidly.

i think there is the vague, underlying threat that, if alastor softens up too much (with other people, i mean -- hes very soft on niffty and she doesnt seem to mind at all) i think niffty is brave enough and alastor reasonable enough that she would take her attentions elsewhere. i personally headcanon that she isnt under any sort of soul contract with him, and is free to leave whenever she pleases.

19. are they satisfied with their relationship? do they wish they were closer/more distant?

id say so! their relationship is very much that of The Big Bad and their Favourite Minion. niffty is alastors personal hype girl and cheerleader, and she gets the pleasure of pledging her loyalty to someone who lives up to her "bad boy" expectations. alastor gets her unwavering attention and devotion, and in return he listens to her unhinged rambling and lets her put bugs in his hair.

27. how far would they go for each other? would they risk their own lives for each other?

niffty would 100% die for alastor, but i dont think alastor would lay down his life for her. he would value his life to a greater degree, but also he sees niffty as fully capable of protecting her own damn self, and he wont go out of his way to help unless shes actively struggling, and even then, not necessarily.

that being said, i think both of them would be aware of this, and both of them would be okay with it. their relationship isnt conventional, or whats considered universally healthy, but it is the best for them.
