Valentine’s Day || Riley and Raeleigh

On the evening of Valentine’s Day, Riley waited in Central Park, his phone in one hand and a smile on his face. It was his first Valentine’s day with Raeleigh, and though he’d sent a traditional Valentine’s fair of Roses and chocolate strawberries to her that morning, he wanted to do something special for her this evening. Riley was nothing if not a romantic at heart, and so he’d planned a treat for her that he desperately hoped she would like, without it being too much. Leaning against the trunk of a large tree, Riley grinned as he saw her silhouette approaching him.

Skating- Riley and Raeleigh

Riley was anxious, despite himself. It wasn’t that he regretted asking Raeleigh out on a date- far from it. He may not have known her for long, but he definitely liked her, in more than just a platonic way, and he was eager to go out with her. It was his own self doubt, however, that was eating at him at the moment; what if she didn’t like what he’d planned? What if she thought it was a stupid idea? After sifting through different ideas in his mind, Riley had decided it would be nice to take her skating, something he’d always loved around this time of year and he hoped desperately that she would like it as well. After hearing about how some asshole had stood her up recently, he wanted to treat her to a picturesque date, if possible, because she deserved it.

He arrived at the address she’d given him, knocking gently on the door. When she opened it his anxiety melted, and a grin split across his face instead. “Hey,” He beamed.

I have some of the most precious people in my life, and no they’re not perfect, but they’re perfect enough. They come in all shapes and sizes and that’s beautiful :) sure we all have our differences but that’s what makes us great and sure we break down sometimes and need breaks from each other, but we will always be here for each other no matter what <3 and that’s why I love my friends more than anything
