Hate, mask, midnight, mistake for Raestoril :3

justice for gay younger brothers everywhere

hate: What does your OC hate? Why? How do they act towards the object of their hatred?

he hates... orcs. he hates the angmarim and the nazgul. he hates when the soft ground is rain-soaked and gets into his socks. he doesn't hate his brother. honestly i don't know if he feels negativity very strongly... he has a lot of complicated feelings but he's very fickle and changes his mind like the wind. moreover he doesn't like to dwell on things... if he can't get through an issue quickly (kill the orc/win the argument/ride into the sunset) he'll get over it

mask: Does your OC wear a mask, literally or figuratively? What goes on beneath it? Is there anyone in their life who gets to see who they are under the mask?

he's performing all the time, and will often wear different characters to tell his stories through his songs, and sing in different voices as different characters etc.. he's surprisingly genuine and down to earth if you catch him while not mid performance, though. he can see the use in putting on an act to get out of a tight spot or whatever but really he's as honest as his brother and shows his feelings freely for the most part

midnight: What keeps your OC up at night? Do they have nightmares? Fears? Anxieties? What do they do in the small hours of the morning when they should be sleeping?

he does sort of. fear the monsters and creatures of the night and the forces of the Enemy. he's not particularly fearless or courageous, and if he's in a bad spot, his anxiety can be a bit of a plague. rarely does he truly lose sleep for very long, but on the occasions he does, he'll spend time composing melodies and self-soothing through strumming

mistake: What's the worst mistake your OC ever made? What led to them making it? Have they been able to fix it? How have they moved on?

in his own mind, his biggest mistake was fleeing rivendell and not being there when his brother woke up. elrond sent word immediately, of course, but he didn't hear about it until raenir was halfway to ered luin, and suddenly three thousand years of anxiety and pain and resentment didn't matter because his brother was awake and alive and he didn't know where raestoril was and now he might never have a chance to see him again.

they reunited, of course, and they're...reapproaching their relationship. he still wanders, of course, and while i don't know if he'll ever really get over it, he'll never go too far from his brother again.
