I guess there’s a good reason it launched so many fics! Also, was it established how the Nogitsune knew? I mean, Stiles must have known. And that seems an odd thing for a young child to know ... --- I think the nogitsune said or implied that Melissa only told the Sheriff, but Stiles overheard the conversation. Also, re: why did Stiles hate Rafael so much, my head canon is that Stiles has less than zero respect for a parent who left. His mom didn't have a choice in leaving him and his dad.

It does seem like the original reason for Raf leaving must've has something to do with Stiles and they changed it. Cause otherwise why did Stiles hate him so much when he first shows up? Like I get him being mad about his best friend's dad being a deadbeat and pushing him down the stairs but it seemed so much... more? Stiles seemed really angry to see him. And the nogitsune made it sound worse than it was...

Yeah, but I was meaning when he tells her that he was on the phone listening in when she called his dad to tell him about the incident. Maybe he knows another secret about her that she's told his dad (Which, if Sheriff Stilinski doesn't hate her for it, I doubt Scott ever will), but he still knew about Scott falling down the stairs. Right? Or did I watch those scenes completely wrong?

I saw your theory about the McCall family and you bring up some good points! Personally, just my opinion, I think that Rafa was involved in maybe some abuse because of a drinking problem and so Melissa could have kicked him out because of that. I mean that may seem a little far fetched but what could he have done that was so bad and not only did he bring up drinking once but he brought it up twice. Sooo who knows!

the only thing that keeps me from thinking there was any abuse involved is the fact that melissa is apparently afraid for scott to find out the truth. and i feel like if melissa kicked rafa out for being abusive, scott would be 100% on board for that. i don't see how melissa would be worried that scott would be angry about melissa trying to protect them from an abusive situation. 

but let the theories keep rolling! it's fun to speculate.
