Prăznuit pe 21 iulie, Sfântul Cuvios Rafail a trăit în vechea așezare monahală Agapia din Dealuri, în secolul al XVI-lea. A fost respectat îndeosebi în Moldova ca unul dintre cei mai mari Sfinți români, ale cărui moaște au fost venerate de Sfântul Ierarh Dosoftei, mitropolit al Moldovei.
