She let out only the faintest of yelps when the rusty, weak metal snapped shut around her leg. She tripped and fell to the ground, her hand falling to rest on the tree it was attached to. Rose screamed against her will before even understanding the pain or where it came from, glancing back to see an old bear trap clamped onto her ankle. She bit hard into her lip at the sight of the gash and the blood that began to drip down her leg, whining in agony and letting her head fall to rest against the tree as well. Her jaw gaped open then as her body struggled to find a way to manage the pain, and she cried out again, with groans of pain consistent throughout her pleas to be freed from it.
