• [At-Tadmuriyyah]

Ibn al-Jawzī (رحمه الله) said:
“Beware of asking Allāh of a matter without asking Him for the good therewith. Indeed, a matter you may ask regarding this worldly life may be the cause of your destruction.”
— [Captured thoughts | pg 730]
You must love Him (Allah) with all your heart, you must try to please Him to the utmost of your ability; there should not be any area of your heart except that it is overflowing with love of Him and you should have no desire except to please Him.
— (Ibn al-Qayyim)
Sufyān Al-Thawrī (رحمه الله) said:
“Remember death frequently, and just as frequently as you ask Allaah to forgive you for your past sins, ask Allāh to keep you safe for the remainder of your life.”
— [Siyār A’lām an-Nubulā]
Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) said:
“Get used to privacy with your Lord [in obedience to Him], because you will be alone with Him in the grave for a long time.”
— [Al-Fawāid]
