Thank you, @bardic-feline for brilliant headcanon that Makoto is so protective over Kanai Ward citizens, he’s tearing himself apart worrying about Kirumi being the first Homunculus to leave home!!!

So since Yuma's birthday was yesterday a thought came to mind: Do you think that; as Yuma's homunculus Makoto would technically have two birthdays or does he only consider either yuma birthday or his technical day of creation as his birthday?

Fashionably late to answering this, but I think Makoto would prefer to have his 'creation day' on January 6 be deemed as his only birthday. Though I feel like in the post-game era, he'd turn his birthday into a whole holiday week for all of the homunculi as a way to celebrate Kanai Ward's unique culture and its inhabitants. It's separate from 'Blank Week Remembrance', which is a week dedicated to honoring the lives of their originals and their legacies that the homunculi carry on for them. It sure does make the city even more popular with tourists enticed with learning about their species and their history.

Currently thinking of Aphex going over to Vivia’s hotel room one day and seeing this guy only really eats ramen noodles or meat buns if he eats anything at all and decicdes from that point on he is now making him lunch because that is unhealthy

In the prequel story, Yakou is intently aware of the meaning behind the teardrop tattoos adorned by the gang leader. With that in mind, Yakou's first sighting of Vivia must've spooked him. All it takes is one look at the painted purple teardrop and Yakou is intensely staring at him n asking him if he killed a guy. Vivia being Vivia is all smiles and muses "hmhm maybe I did maybe I didn't" leaving Yakou on a never-ending cliffhanger. And then Fubuki rolls in not a week later and Yakou is dreading it because oh dear god there's tWO OF THEM

Vivia Twilight 15

Vivia Twilight's pets or feelings about animals:

Vivia is a cat at heart, but his cat-like nature has to start somewhere! Back when he lived in his ever-winter village, his parents never had any pets of their own (cause how could they take care of a pet if they can't even take care of their own CHILDREN-). Dogs like huskies, malamutes, and samoyeds are commonplace pets in neighboring households, but often times feral cats can be spotted slinking around in the snow and scratching at doorways minutes before blizzards blow in. Vivia and a few of his kindhearted brothers would spend time each day petting and playing with the stray cats outside. On days of harsh weather, they'd even manage to sneak a cat or two into the house to give them shelter until the storms subsided. Vivia, gangly enough as he was, had a habit of giving up table scraps from his concerningly meagre amount of food to any cat in his and his brothers' care. They couldn't let their parents find out about any cats they were hiding, lest they be punished for bringing bad luck into the house.

Post-game, once Vivia finds his own place to settle down in after breaking away from the WDO, he adopts a black cat.

Yuma Kokohead

Yuma Kokohead's childhood:

To form a coherent path that explains why Number One comfortably fits his role and acts the way he does, solitude is a defining part of his early life. I might mentioned this briefly before when talking about Yuma's past in my Death Knight Yakou AU, but his parents are the main reason why he lived a lonely life. They refused to let his astoundingly high intellect be tarnished by any outside influence, so they forced him to stay close to their side and remain indoors as much as possible. He was homeschooled, so he never had a chance to make friends like a normal kid. He became comfortably numb to the world around him, but undeniably curious about everything new to him as he stepped outside. This is the formula to create a perfect detective. It certainly paid off for his parents' expectations, but dulled Yuma's mind to the point of complete apathy to all living beings.

But maybe, deep down in his faded heart, he wished for a proper connection? It's a mystery like any other.

Vivia's Guide To Metaphors For Everyday Life In Kanai Ward

One part about Vivia that I'm always eager to write for is his dialogue! More specifically, his cryptic messages through the usage of metaphors. I ended up taking this aspect of his character and expanding upon it by giving each character a unique personified element that he uses to describe them. So, as a way to vaguely share my thought process and actually write these down before I forget, here's a list of each character and their associated metaphor! In addition, I've provided each one with an example sentence for a little bonus since I love writing these!

Vivia - Moon ("The moon will sink below the horizon and rise again when it knows it's time, and no force of nature can impede.")

Yuma - Reaper, but it changes over time due to Yuma's unknown identity ("A reaper walks along the mortal plane, hoping to be just as human as the precious souls they've pocketed once were."/"An idea yet to be explored, a candle's wick yet to be lit, a storm yet to be ridden of... it doesn't matter. The only part of you that does is where you decide you'll end up at the end of your road.")

Halara - Wind ("A gust of wind could blow us all away if we dare divert from its current we decisively follow.")

Desuhiko - Lightning ("Loud and proud, lightning strikes where it knows it'll catch the most eyes. The fires it starts are just an afterthought.")

Fubuki - Snow ("Snowflakes fall wherever they please... and wherever the wind may take them.")

Yakou - Ocean ("No matter how deep I swim into the murky depths of the sea, I know I can always look up and see the sparkling light of dawn shining through the cerulean surface.")

Yakou's wife - Star ("Even on a starless night, the waves still reach out in hopes of grazing the phantom warmth of the brightest light in the jet black sky.")

Yomi - Sun ("Scorched lands crawling with starving life... a surefire sign that the sun has reigned the ether well past its time.")

Thoughts on Desuhiko and Vivia being friends? (I see it as like the goofy, hyperactive ball of sunshine and the shy, angsty, bookworm from similar backgrounds dynamic myself)

Bingo! I'm a firm believer that Vivia n Desuhiko would form a hilarious, unlikely friendship. They'd be an unstoppable comedic duo. Desuhiko is moreso accidentally silly while Vivia lies in wait and is always ready to strike with the perfect punchline. They're both also very musically-inclined in my heart, so I tend to headcanon that Vivia would help Desuhiko in learning all about music theory with his abundance of incidental readings of music books (and his hidden talent as a pianist). There are definitely times when their philosophies clash (*cough*chapter 4*cough*), especially in front of the other detectives, but when they're on their own in the agency and itching for interaction, that's when they get along best.
