i keep thinking about a hundred line au. more headcanoning, rain code spoilers, and mild spoilers for 100line's first 100 days under the cut:

Fubuki has Takumi's "retry" ability, so she's the one time traveling to bring about a happy ending. I suppose you could say she's the protagonist here!

Speaking of protags, Yuma is an all around attacker who can buff his nearby allies with armor with one of his moves. However, his skills change to boosted attacking moves if an ally dies in the same turn, making him a vengeance-based killing machine.

You may be wondering why Yomi has a support role. Well that's because he actually goes out there bossing everyone around to do his bidding, lol. With his whip, he motivates his allies, curing their fatigue, creating high voltage, and giving them attack boosts at the cost of some friendly fire damage

Yakou's job is generally applying armor to himself and others, but also inflicting bleed on targets. If he happens to have a debuff, he gains an attack boost.

Makoto is still a clone of Yuma, created as a result of some hemoanima experiments. Despite being a clone created for war, Makoto is quite friendly with Yuma, and they'll often be hanging out in the same rooms during free time.

I think Kurumi would play a similar role to Nozomi in terms of mechanics and some aspects of the story.

Zilch has a muzzle and ears purely for aesthetic purposes. Despite all the animal motifs in his class armor, not a single one of his abilities reference it.

Pucci's mech is shaped like a big teddy bear. I feel like that's important to note.

Shinigami is their super puffy, super cute, morally dubious commanding officer! Her personality doesn't change much- she just happens to have a leadership position and way too much sway in running things lol

There is a perfect way to continue the world of master detectives. The key is in the title:

Master detectives archives

Basically be the cases the wdo has achieved in their library. Being rain code the name of the case.

Each game would be a different case.

This would allow the games to not need to follow a strict timeline of events. Past cases or future ones, new locations, new characters or developing already existing ones ( like the Amateurs express detectives or the NDA detectives rookie days)

Maybe one could be the WDOs beginnings, maybe two games could occurre in the same location but during different periods.

I'm not saying that they should close the rain code storyline, but maybe expanding the world could allow for a better way to continue it.

Maybe during one of the games Yuma helps out the protagonist but they aren't told who he is until after he leaves, never or maybe they run in with one of the NDA detectives and they tell them.

I think Rain code is a good as stan alone. I think they might not continue the series because of the whole "trapped murders"/ "close speace misterys" isn't as easy to continue in an open world.

But it doesn't necessarily mean they have to be literally trapped. They could simply stay there because of determination.

There is also the Death gods,Shinigami confirmed that there are more death gods apart from her. Are there other death gods that help out detectives? Can you offer something else, other than your memories, make a contract? Are all death gods bound to a book? Does it have to be a book?

I've been thinking about this ever since I saw the trailer for rain code. I just think this is a game that has a lot of potential.
