Not to be controversial, but Rain didn’t specifically look at Ciipher and go “I’m going to make you fail because I’m greedy” like what?? That would be a terrible financial decision he’s not stupid?? Could his company have done better management - absolutely. But if the Korean public doesn’t give a fuck they don’t give a fuck. Becoming nugu is always a 50/50 chance you take when you debut and it happened for them. They barely have 74k monthly listeners on spotify which yes is a big number for a lot of people but when it comes to kpop streams, that number is not good enough anymore. If the international fans, who are the majority of who care about Ciipher, are not even pulling at least 100k, which the majority of groups I have heard of seem to do, I’m damn sure the Korean public isn’t doing so on Melon. Like yeah the company could’ve done better but like…it happens. Which sucks. But it does. There are tons of groups that barely got the fraction of success Ciipher ever got and fizzled out into nothing and no one cared about them. They deserved the same care, but this shouldn’t be the most horrendous and shocking thing people have ever heard of in kpop. Unless you’re in the big 3 and hybe, which still gets questionable, you are not garaunteed any type of success no matter the company. It is up to the general public and audience to accept your music and sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t.
I don't remember what is the actual plot, watching it to witness endless bickering of theirs.
So much chemistry.
