All my life I have asked myself: what is this umbrella for if I have no one to share it with? When I finally threw it away, I spread my arms out and the rain drenched me. No, I wasn't smiling, but it was damn close.
All encompassing, throat burning liquor. Smoke tainted lungs with hands too shaky to hold steady.
The smell of decay lingers, hides in the doorways of musty rooms with no sunlight. Blue mornings and pin silent moments.
The lord hath forsaken me, shunned me from heavens gates. scorched my eyes and ripped wings from my shoulders.
Unworthy.
Ungodly.
Blasphemous creature bound to igneous rocks that crush through bone.
Unmoving.
Decaying.
“If people were rain, I was a drizzle, and she was a hurricane. “
– John Green
the rain is the universe weeping over our separation
Each drop falling to the ground and crashing,
The same way my tear drops do upon our tragic situation.
The rain ignites in me a fierce passion,
violent but caressing drops falling against my skin,
Drenching me in all that I feel
mad love & a keen compassion.
Yes, the rain will always be my confidant
To remind me how I’ve loved you..
falling endlessly with reckless abandon
so untamed and fierce, I beg your pardon!
Like the rain, you had entered my world
And made my withered roses bloom again,
Flooding my wilted heart and nurting a seed of love I can’t seem to explain.
In the end..
Rain is just the same as love- unconditional that sees no reason to fall,
So it takes a lover to feel each drop and hear it’s hidden music
to understand its yearning— a silent call.

Wasn't it the Summer Rains, Hot and Sticky at it's worst, Cooling and cleansing at it's best, Drink, Soak, Washing away old.
Wasn't easier then, Summer felt free, Summer meant adventure, Slow, Lazy, Time for a new day.
Rain // Jack Gilbert
Suddenly this defeat. This rain. The blues gone gray And the browns gone gray And yellow A terrible amber. In the cold streets Your warm body. In whatever room Your warm body. Among all the people Your absence The people who are always Not you. I have been easy with trees Too long. Too familiar with mountains. Joy has been a habit. Now Suddenly This rain.
Glimpses of Rain
Sometimes it feels like rain is a gift,
and this thought always gives my heart a lift.
Although rain may seem full of sorrow,
It reminds us that there’s always a tomorrow.
The clear blue sky turns into a pale grey,
I often see the sun hidden those days.
I watch as the water drizzles slightly,
Showering me with a cool mist, slightly.
Then, the golden sun rays spread overhead,
Small dewdrops glitter on the flowerbed.
Delightful happiness beams with the sun,
Making my life seem so pleasant and fun.
Now the day has come when I board the train,
And once again starts the refreshing rain.
I stare outside the windowpane for miles,
And then looking at the lush, green trees, smile.
However, the next day, I reach my home,
In a town, in Rajasthan, I live alone,
That was probably the last time I saw rain.
I think about those moments again and again.
