☛: What is their typical response to being given orders?

depends on who’s giving them, and why. rain’s not a blind follower. she’s always ready 2 disobey a direct order if she thinks she can figure out a better way to do something, or if the person giving the order is a bag of dicks (eg. udina). but there are also people who she’ll almost always listen to bc she respects them (eg. anderson) even if the order they’re giving is on the iffy side. her general strategy when receiving orders is to be like “yep yes sir no problem” and then rly examine it on her own time before deciding to go thru with it or not. at least that keeps command off her back in the meantime

garrus and tali. first squad best squad. the three of them have seen a lot of shit together and they all know they got each other’s backs

in her rare moments of downtime, rain likes dumb video games, ring fighting type stuff like space tekken or whatever. shes not a super creative person but she can get real inventive with her name calling if a match with garrus and/or jack doesnt go her way

simeer surana. i def debated abt skipping a lot of dialogue options in his origin bc i wanted 2 know the mage shit but i felt like he wouldnt have asked all the nosy questions i made him ask lol

oh boy, tons. i have lots of fond memories of playing suvoi in the early heyday of the surlinds rp when like all my close friends were involved and super into it. rain shepard was my first bioware protag and i still have great memories of discovering the world of mass effect with her. also shadowrun was overall a shit show bc we were Bad at being sneaky but i have such fond memories of ember and flechette and hanging out with alex a whole bunch after he was gone for a few years.. yeah i guess most of my fondest character memories are also memories of my friends, awwwwwww
