SustainableEHC presents free rain barrel making workshop
SustainableEHC, Egg Harbor City’s green team, will be hosting a rain barrel making workshop 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at the Egg Harbor City Community School, 730 Havana Ave. The workshop is free, but registration in advance is required.
Mullica River Watershed Ambassador Aysia Gandy will address storm water runoff caused by impervious surfaces, such as rooftops, roads and hardscaped surfaces, which result in pollution of the watershed and potable water system.
Gandy will demonstrate how to make a rain barrel to recycle rainwater for your garden. The first 15 registrants will get to take home a completed rain barrel. Others are invited to learn how it’s done using readily accessible materials.
