I would sleep on a cold sidewalk if it meant you'd always have a roof. I would never eat again if it meant you would never go hungry. I would hide my tears from the world if it meant you would never need to cry. I would give up my life if it meant yours would always be happy. I would live in darkness if it meant you would always feel the light. I would endure the darkest depths of hell if it would guarantee your entry into the Buddha's realm.

For you Connor my sweet child I would take on the world so that you would have a better one to live in. The only thing in the world I would not give up is you.

Could you be honest with me if I trusted you? Would you never say a word you didnt mean? Good or bad. Could you brush the hair from my lips when my hands are full? Could you care that much to simply know it bothers me and fix it without request. Could you listen to my words, proud to understand my mind? Would you kiss me in front of everyone like you would when we are alone? Could you whisper away the fleeting thoughts that leave me insecure and unkind. Would you take the time to get to know me enough to know when my thoughts are wild? Could you walk toward the end, your hand in mine with a smile? Would you be grateful you shared your life with me? Could you forgive my mistakes? Would you help me learn a lesson I can not see? Could you.... Push away the world and forget their opinion? The world around

Have you ever just sat and looked at the world around you? Looked at peoole and wondered... What is there life like? Do you imagine happy things for others you dont know? Or do you assume unhappy lives are all around and its not just you? You see the flowers, feel the sun, smell the toxins cars put off and the rambling noises in the back round of the city. Ahh to feel life at all, and understand the world around us is the most amazing thing even when things are bad. Happiness is all around. Find it in the simplicity of the world around.
