Watching Camp Camp and WTNV at the same time...

I was watching both Welcome to Night Vale and Camp Camp over the past few days and have come to a realization. 

Except for the fact that Camp Campbell is in Maine and Night Vale is in a desert, they share many attributes. 

• Hooded figures~

in Night Vale, they are in the dog park, the elementary school playground, and Big Rico’s Pizza. 

at Camp Camp, they are the Camp Critic Committee. 

• Animal Rain~

in Night Vale, the Glow Cloud (ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY GLOW CLOUD), rains various dead animals from the sky.

at Camp Camp, whenever it is shown to be raining hard, cats and dogs fall from the sky, although these animals are alive.

Is Raining Animals Real?

 Ok! Before you surprised like the cat above, this is not a new phenomenon in this world.

Such things had been around since the ancient times.

In the 15th century, Olaus Magnus has been drawing a rain of fish in one of his masterpieces.

In the 19th century, French Soldiers witnesses a bizarre phenomenon of Raining Toads.

In 1861, there were paintings on raining fish in the Singapore, the event called as Singapourfish!

Raining Animals is a hoax?

There are always an explanations.

 What Causes Raining Animals Phenomena?

 Various types of tornadoes include the landspout, multiple vortex tornado, and waterspout. Waterspouts are characterized by a spiraling funnel-shaped wind current, connecting to a large cumulus or cumulonimbus cloud. They are generally classified as non-supercellular tornadoes that develop over bodies of water, but there is disagreement over whether to classify them as true tornadoes.

 Scientifically, Raining Animals phenomena is a bizarre phenomenon in the field of meteorology.

Hypothetically, this phenomenon is caused by a hurricane or tornado storm that occurs either on land or sea.

Then, a hurricane or a tornado, lift up the animals into the air and throw them as far as possible.

Thanks to the French physicist André-Marie Ampere (1775 – 1836) who conducted scientific studies about Raining Animals Phenomena.

 Reflections about Raining Animals Phenomena

In Islam, this phenomenon reminds us of the story of Pharaoh and his unjust and disobedient to Allah SWT.

Allah SWT sent Prophet Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron) to warn Pharaoh.

But responded with pride and arrogance.

Let us look at the verses below.

 So We sent upon them the flood (from waterspouts) and locusts and lice and frogs and blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.

 The above verse is written in the Al-Quran.

Al-Quran is the word of Allah SWT, which was revealed 1,400 years ago to the Prophet Muhammad.

The specials about the Al-Quran is that it is a holy book that has never changed, altered by any individuals.

Its authenticity is 100%.

If the validity of 100% means that the story of the Pharaoh is a true event.

Therefore, we can unanimously declare that, Raining Animals phenomena can be traced back to 2000 BC, while Moses was still alive against the tyranny of Pharaoh.

The Petersburg correspondent of the Richmond Dispatch says: "When people remarked to each other, at four o'clock yesterday morning, that it was raining cats and dogs, they had no idea that it was raining frogs also; but it was. Either the frogs came along with the storm, or else came out of the earth in some parts of the city in multitudes greater than ever were seen in this corner of the earth. The lower streets and the depot yards of the Atlantic, Mississippi and Ohio and the Richmond and Petersburg railroads were so dense with these creatures that it was almost impossible to walk without treading on them. They were not larger than five-cent pieces, and kept up a constant hopping, as if they were trying to get back home. Most of them must have died. If they had been full grown, and had met that fate, the air would have been poisoned by such a contribution, and malaria would have resulted. It is believed that the high wind which prevailed during the storm swept this plague of frogs from a neighboring swamp. Great interest was excited by their appearance.”

Raining Animals

Raining animals is a rare meteorological phenomenon in which flightless animals "rain" from the sky. Such occurrences have been reported in many countries throughout history. One hypothesis offered to explain this phenomenon is that strong winds traveling over water sometimes pick up creatures such as fish or frogs, and carry them for up to several miles. However, this primary aspect of the phenomenon has never been witnessed or scientifically tested.

Sometimes the animals survive the fall, suggesting the animals are dropped shortly after extraction. Several witnesses of raining frogs describe the animals as startled, though healthy, and exhibiting relatively normal behavior shortly after the event. In some incidents, however, the animals are frozen to death or even completely encased in ice. There are examples where the product of the rain is not intact animals, but shredded body parts.

Some cases occur just after storms having strong winds, especially during tornadoes. However, there have been many unconfirmed cases in which rainfalls of animals have occurred in fair weather and in the absence of strong winds or waterspouts.
