After a brief hiatus to re-envision what a regional gathering can be, we are excited to announce that we are shifting from Rainingman to a 2017 'Cascadia Convergence'. Our theme will be bringing people together, organizing and planning, and building community. As always, you make this event! The biggest change is that this year will be run entirely by suggested donation, rather than having set ticket prices. This awesome, fun filled, family-friendly weekend features art, music, presentations and workshops, and will be held in SW Washington - halfway between Seattle and Portland. Can't wait to see you there!

Cascadia Convergence (formerly Rainingman) is a space for everyone interested in the idea of Cascadia to meet face to face, and have a great time camping. We bring together a variety of different interests and groups so that a range of Cascadian perspectives are represented.

To make this event open to everyone, this year we are shifting to a completely suggested donation model. You make it happen! Activists, authors, causes, educators, groups, individuals, organizations, performers, presenters, and everyone who wants to be a part of building a stronger Cascadia community, register now, or contact us to be involved.

To each of you who have supported this years Cascadia Culture Festival, Rainingman, through purchasing tickets, offering to volunteer or applying to share your art, products, skills and knowledge, THANK YOU! Unfortunately, there was just not enough interest in the festival this year to make it happen. Please stay tuned for a possible festival revamp including new dates and a new venue in 2017! We hope to see you all then!

Welcome to the CascadiaNow! Rainingman, a weekend long Cascadia culture festival!

2016 Cascadia Rainingman | Labor Day Weekend | September 2nd-5th | Mima Mounds near Olympia, WA

Join us for an awesome, fun filled, family-friendly weekend featuring art, music, presentations, workshops, and community building! Cascadia Rainingman is an open event for everyone who loves Cascadia, wishes to build a deeper community connection, and wants to have a great time camping and enjoying Cascadian art. 

Our primary goal is to provide a space for everyone passionate about Cascadia to meet face to face, and have a great time camping and sharing. We're also working to provide space for a variety of different interests and groups so that a range of Cascadian perspectives can be present.  During the day at Cascadia Rainingman, there are presentations, skill-shares, workshops, discussions, open-space, and debriefs. Each night, there's music, performance art, and a community campfire! Interactive visual art happens at Cascadia Rainingman throughout the weekend. More than anything, Cascadia Rainingman creates a space that brings together Cascadians for an awesome weekend.
