So in Scarlet and Violet, you can find a copy of the Scarlet/Violet book in the main hallway of the academy, and one of the entries is amusingly similar to something from tqftl, especially in Scarlet.

All just further proof that I am secretly Satoshi Tajiri.

I do love that the canonical Rainteicune even has mostly the same parts in the same places. Suicune's head, crystal and ribbons, Entei's spikes and cloud-mane, Raikou's legs; only real difference is it has Entei's mustache instead of Entei's shackles and paws.

Well, this is possibly the most complex thing I’ve inked, and definitely the most ridiculous. It’s going to need some digital cleanup before coloring, and won’t be very good even then, but.

Because the universe is hilarious, December 14, 2001 was also the day that @antialiasis started writing the precursor to the fanfic that she’s still writing to this day.  I’m sorry, I will never get over the fact that we started writing pokefic on the same day, I just won’t.  It’s amazing.  I love everything about it.

This year I’m celebrating the occasion with an illustration of my favorite piece of description from Molzapart and Rainteicune.  I can’t even read it without giggling uncontrollably.

And Suicune was off.

Such gripping action I can hardly bear it.

Sixteen years ago, I started writing my first attempt at Pokémon fanfiction, Molzapart and Rainteicune, and on that same day, coincidentally, @chibipika started writing their first Pokémon fanfic, The Legendarian Chronicles.

In the time since, LC has grown and matured and become an actually really good fic (you should read it). Molzapart and Rainteicune, however, was superseded by The Quest for the Legends, so while I did continue to build on it, the story itself remains an immortalized time capsule into my eleven-year-old mind.

Thus, here’s a grown-up Chibi from LC being unsure what to think of these ridiculous eternal baby doofs. (Honestly, I just wanted to draw baby Molzapart and Rainteicune.) Happy mutual ficiversary, Chibi Pika! :D

Seventeen years ago today, I started writing a ridiculous thing called Molzapart and Rainteicune. Meanwhile, unknown to me, @chibipika on that very same day started to write The Legendarian Chronicles. Both fanfics featured ridiculous legendary hybrids, and here are some of them in glorious digital color. I guess they’re all riding off to some ridiculous final battle. Happy mutual ficiversary once again, Chibi! :D
