It's simply a preference. I do not like it. I don't understand why that bothers you so much and it's sad.
I do not shame anyone who "selfships" or "yumeships" themselves with fictional characters.
But I simply do not like it and do not surround myself with media like that. I refuse to go into detail about why I dislike it but in short..
I simply am more into canon x canon ships and I have had some awful encounters with yume/selfshippers in the past and present (racism , harassment and doxxing) to the point I just don't like them and can't see myself liking it or the people who do it.
If you do it , that is fine , have fun. You only have one life and the words of another being shouldn't just make you stop the party because they didn't like the theme. Do whatever you want as long as it makes you happy!
Just not around me is all.
I will not judge anyone unless they want to shove nonsense in my face , then I speak up. But that is all.
Have fun , live life , but keep it away from me.
Also I am real , thank you very much! I am just not an average joyful person and don't follow everything people do. I exist , I do what I like , and I am open with my opinions. Sorry if that upsets you but the truth is better than some dumb lie to make people like me.
