Well, technically finished. I think this needs an epilogue to really round it out, but STILL!

is there gonna be a ghost sex chapter? :0

As with most things I post to AO3, I don't tend to post sexual chapters directly in the fic! If I write it, the sex will show up as a link to my tumblr in the footnotes. And I do want to write it, but I gotta finish this other thing first.

And as a side note, I want to comment on one line I wrote, because I'm proud of the stupid backstory behind it.

In Dipper's mental commentary, he mentions that he's surprised that "[Bill's] nude portraits didn’t take any artistic license."

It is Confirmed that not only has Dipper seen Bill's nudes - multiple of them, actually, they're part of the Manor - he has actively rolled his eyes at them, going 'Pffft, yeah, right'.

Surprise, Dipper! They were actually accurate.

What's this? A complete draft of this chapter of Raised Spirits, five days before the deadline? It can't be true!

And yet it is! Usually I'm like.... just barely at the day of, or miss it entirely. October's been a good writing month for me, apparently.

I'm excited for people to read this chapter, cause it does some stuff, implies other stuff, and sets up yet other stuff.

Well, with Poltergeist fic having updated, the reveal of How Bill Died creeps ever closer. Also I can finally start some of the more fun scenes I’ve had planned for ages.

Also, I’ve just realized (spoiler for the chapter)

I think I’ve only written Lil’ Gideon as a character, like. One other time, and that was just for a random Familiar AU snippet. But for a fic with a ghost in it, he just worked so much better as an external influence than Ford. He’s too apt of a character foil.

I’m gonna have to rewatch  those episodes again.
