:person A makes a mixed or negative review of a film or game, giving perfectly valid reasons for those mixed or negative feelings:
Comments: What a terrible review, how could you not like this?
:person B gives a positive review with the odd negative point here and there:
Comments: You are wrong about those negative things you said. But good review otherwise.
:Person C is entirely positive:
Comments: Awesome review!
Comments elsewhere: Hey go watch/read Person C’s review. It basically proves that it is good.
It funny the way people seem to judge how good a review is, based on how positive it is.
Makes me wonder if some reviewers would become more popular if they just wrote “I loved it!” and left it there.
I also love the way people always ask “how could you not like it?” About a REVIEW! The thing you are asking that about, literally exists purely to answer that question.
Of course you do sometimes get the reverse of people getting passed at positive reviews because they didn’t like the thing. But what’s interesting is this is normally followed by there own “review” of the thing in kind of a AVGN style rant.
It seems like it’s much easier to write negative reviews. Yet no one ever seems to like them.
