I’ve been rather quiet lately, but I wanted to give a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my pal rajamitsu, who also happens to draw huguscomic! (I also really like drawing vests and ribbons, so HOW COULD I RESIST)
...I maaaaaay have also used it as an excuse to try out Manga Studio. And so far I haven’t wanted to chuck it out the window as much as I used to, so there’s promise!

I'll second this rec, although it does get a bit dramatic. There are a lot of shirtless scenes, but I'd say most are in the context of swimming, rather than just for fanservice (though there is some).

Seeing the Free! recommendation made me think of another: K-on! It's a high school series about a group if girls starting a music club and starting a rock band. They do play music, but it's mostly about the girls doing cute things. The music is pretty good when they do actually play. Might be something to try?
Ah yes isn't this considered the ultimate in cute girls doing cute things shows? I should give it a try...
