Confrontation

Some friends of mine are trying to sell me on Confrontation, which is apparently making a comeback. I'm particularly interested in the Elves - the Daikinees, whatever that means - the Lions of Alahan, and the Kelts, though I can't quite stop thinking about the Ophidians.

This is a question for the tumbloids. Educate me! What do you think of Confrontation? What do I need to know to decide if I should play and which faction to pick?
