Felt like making different variations of the Weaksauce/Normal DAVE, so I did. Each is going to have a different attack.

Formally Introducing: DAVEs

DAVEs (Droid Agents with Visual Enhancements) are the main mooks that will be fought in Rakugals. Created by Megason Industries two generations before the start of the game, DAVEs can handle simple tasks to varying degrees of success. By the start of the game, DAVEs are quickly being replaced by Soul-type Droid Agents (such as the protagonists of the game), who can handle much more complex commands and do more complex actions. However, DAVEs are still used by many companies that either find souls too expensive or not worth the trouble of getting. Pictured above are four of the basic types of DAVEs that will be found in the game.

DAVEs cannot speak in normal human language (as opposed to Souls that can). Rather, they communicate through showing text, pictures, sampled audio, and video on their screen, and can communicate in a secret language composed of 16 characters. However, they can still understand normal human languages.

Anyways, back to the ones above. Normal DAVEs are just the standard model, not necessarily built towards any specialization. Fighting DAVEs are made to be protectors and bodyguards to others, and have some trained combat abilities. Heavy DAVEs are mainly made to help with Construction (or Destruction), and are much larger and can handle much more PSI. Ranged DAVEs are mainly made to help with the military, and are able to use a variety of arms. There are other types of DAVEs as well, but these are just some examples of the enemies of Rakugals.

I also have a demo I'm working on for rakugals, but I want to get a full-blown level done before I release it to the public, rather than just having a whole bunch of little updates and nobody really plays any of them.

Here are some sprites I've been working on for Rakugals, formerly known as Gynoid Action Squad. immaevilspacewhale helped a bit with some of Bunsen's attacks.

Going with a sorta rakugaki showtime and rakuga kids artstyle (hence the title) with a bit of a rhythm heaven and gals fighters vibe.

Hopefully I'll have a demo ready sometime this season.

Feel free to provide critique on these sprites if you want, I don't mind.
