I still don’t understand why Rammstein didn’t bring up the new song on their website. That’s why I was so surprised when I found a link to it while looking up lyrics.
Still happy I found out about it. Rammstein has a knack for showing up when I’m really down. ( Hell Emigrates first cd saved my life. Along with the album Rosenrot )
I wish I could explain just why these guys click with me. Believe me I’m still confused about it. I was a bitter annoying jackass in my teens. Then I saw their video for Mein Teil. Dark as fuck and based on real events. But Rammstein takes it and makes art with it. It wasn’t like how anger/evil is normally treated in punk or pop punk.
Hearing people in their teens or 20s singing about how shitty life is has always sounded weird. Rammstein was around their 30s give or take when they started. Anything they had to say felt way more believable because they had more experience. When I was a new fan I just had a blast listening to the music. Even when I had no idea at the time what they were singing about. I think its pretty cool that people can make good music even with a giant language barrier. And it made hunting down good translations with shitty internet back then a fucking journey.
I've had Ramm 4 stuck in my head all day!! It better be on their new album cos I need this song in my life!
