The ABC's of Charlie's Angels - Part II
The Townsend Cafeteria...Which table are you sitting at? lol... Fun story about this art I made a few years ago... I had a fan account on Tumblr and followed TownsendAgency on Instagram from my personal account, but I started noticing he was taking all of my content from Tumblr, so I asked him to stop. His response was literally "Get tf over it". So, I figured if my work was going to be on instagram anyway, then I might as well create my own instagram account (2019). I ceased communication with that person after the "get tf over it" response, but then he started making fake accounts and messaging me all kinds of creepy stuff. One account messaged me and said "I hate that TownsendAgency guy, he's such a jerk. So anyway, what are you working on?". Lol...I mean, it takes nerve to be that obvious, huh? Anyway, I send back the cafeteria art just to see what he would do with it. You can see the timestamp of the date I created the art (2023) and the date listed on his instagram wall from his attempt to recreate the work (2024). That's how toxic these social media fan accounts for the Angels are! Obviously, the toxicity and thievery gets rewarded handsomely with likes and follows, but that's very on-brand for the 2020s isn't it? Most fans are awesome and fun to interact with, but some of these folks that have fan accounts get super shady if they think you are infriging on their territory. You can pretty much tell who these sketchy folk are by who I have blocked. He (and others) still try these shenanigans all the time, like The Brady Bunch art from a few months back. You can see my original and the same attempt at recreation. Anyway, I'm not letting these chickadees ruin my love of Charlie's Angels, no matter how hard they try! But if you ever wonder why I have my guard up on here, this is just ONE example of the toxicity I encounter.
