Rifra and Estinien visit the Gangos garrison to meet with the former's siblings. Will they accept Estinien as his partner?
For Day 1: Introducing Family for Wolstinien Week 2025
Rifra and Estinien reminisce their first ever encounter.
Gposes based on a Six Sentence Saturday prompt from Bluesky, "the crunch of dirt/snow/gravel beneath shoes"!
Full drabble below!
"Do you remember our first meeting here?" asked Rifra, the cold snow crunching beneath their shoes as the two took a walk through memory lane in the cold mountains of Coerthas.
"Aye," Estinien chortled, recalling the once-scarlet viera sticking out against the white expanse. "To this day I cannot believe your first idea was to tackle me onto the ground."
"I was asked to bring you back by Alberic," the air filled with Rifra's mirth as she skipped ahead, twirling around in the snow with one foot planted on the ground. "Tackling was one way to get you to compl- WHOA!"
Estinien lunged at her, arms wrapping around her frame as they crashed onto the bed of snow beneath them, their laughs mingling into the air as the roles became switched from several summers prior.
After returning wounded and traumatized from the battle against the Endsinger, Rifra isolates himself from the rest of the Scions. Concerned for his well-being, Estinien approaches the Warrior of Light to get to the root of his solitude.

For Wolstinien Week 2025 Day 7: Confession / I Love You
This was a long undertaking of a project where I wrote about Rifra and Estinien finally get together!
Please mind the tags before reading, it's not completely Dead Dove but I'm warning just in case because it's a rough one!
During another sleepless night, Rifra and Estinien exchange lullabies their mothers sang to them during their childhood.
For Wolstinien Week 2025 Day 5: Music
I wrote a short ficlet of Rifra and Estinien exchanging the lullabies of their childhood with each other!
A hunter stumbles upon a cave, in their hand two bounties depicting a dragon in the likeness of the vanquished fell wyrm Nidhogg and a large, hare-like monster. They had been searching for their two targets, traveling across Eorzean land, following their tracks that always seemed to line up next to each other. Kill two birds with one stone, but instead two beasts with a lance.
They arrive where the footprints led them, deeper and deeper into the cave when finally their marks came into view. The hare-like monster was tucked into the wyrm's wings, snuggled up against its embrace sleeping peacefully. A prayer of thanks for Llymlaen for leading his path, they quietly bestow another to Halone in hopes of her guiding their lance to its destination.
As they prepared to go in for the kill, however, a beam of moonlight bathed the beasts in its glow, and for a split second the hunter swore they saw two lovers embraced, a scaled elezen and a freckled viera. The hunter shook their head, rapidly blinking their eyes before gazing at their targets again, the image gone from their vision. They readied their lance again, yet their limbs felt hesitant, almost as if they knew something their master didn't, that this was wrong.
With a heavy sigh, the hunter lowered his weapon, quietly staring at the slumbering monsters before them, before leaving the cave, the scrolls depicting the bounties floating along the breeze.
I commissioned @johnnylandslide to make me Rifrastinien gposes with his interpretation of the ship and he delivered to the point that I want to throw myself off a cliff.

Another quick gpose to accompany a quick Six Sentence Saturday prompt! "Gripping something/someone tightly"
Drabble below cut, takes place after the end of Endwalker!
Rifra seemed to be on a fast pace to recovery, as expected of her who was known to take on the strongest of foes and withstand the fiercest of blows. Feeling content that he was able to confirm her condition himself, Estinien nodded with an "I'll be off then," and turned to head towards the Baldesion Annex's balcony when he felt her hand grab his wrist.
"Stay with me tonight," the viera pleaded to him, her fingers grasping at him tightly. "Please."
A torrent churned within him as he gazed back at her, his gray meeting her green that seemed to have lost its vibrance. His chest tightened up, his internal dilemma coiling around his heart until he replied, "As you wish."
Wrote a little ficlet from Alphinaud's POV for Post-ARR/Heavensward! Read under cut!
Note: Rifra will be referred to as Seren (her alias from ARR-SHB) for this fic.
The freezing cold of Coerthas wasn't something Alphinaud was accustomed to, and having to essentially be forced to trek through the ilms of snow made the little elezen shiver in his boots. It was all bleak; everything that he had strived for with the Crystal Braves was taken away from him, a mutiny against him planned right under his nose. He was humbled, to say the least, and for once he because acutely aware of his childish naivete that came with his young age. Which each step he thought of the Scions that placed their trust in him, that was starting to become a new family for him, left behind at the mercy of his own army and the Brass Blades.
At least the Warrior of Light Seren and Tataru were with him, and Lord Haurchefant's bottomless generosity was able to grant them refuge in the reclusive nation of Ishgard, yet what was he supposed to do at this point? Even if he wanted to clear their names at Ul'dah. what could he even do to achieve that? Being the top of the Studium students wasn't going to cut it anymore, and he no longer had his twin sister Alisaie with him.
Just where was she anyway? She had helped them, sending Brennan the peddler with a chocobo carriage to take them away from Ul'dah, but where was Alphinaud's other half when he needed her the most?
The elezen tripped as his mind wandered, landing face first into the stone floor. Hearing him fall, Seren immediately rushed to his side.
"Are you alright there?" The viera asked, helping him sit up and dust off the snow. It was a wonder how she was able to withstand the cold, dressed somewhat lighter than what one would expect in a frigid climate, but someone like her who grew up in the freezing mountain ranges would have no problem with the temperature.
"I'm…" Alphinaud muttered, hesitation in his voice. "I'm fine, thank you."
"Make sure you don't get too distracted, Alphinaud!" Tataru warned him as she slowly approached him, fighting against the strong winds. "I'm already having a hard time getting through here, can't afford to have you struggle as well!"
Alphinaud didn't respond, the feeling of incompetence that was growing in him increasing exponentially.
Seren immediately took notice and crouched in front of him with her back towards him. "Climb on."
The boy refused. "N-no, I can keep going."
"You're exhausted, Alphinaud," Seren curtly responded. "A lot has happened today, and you need to rest. I'll carry you until we make it to a shelter in Ishgard."
Her head turned to face him, a reassuring smile on her lips. "Besides, I'm used to carrying my little sister home all the time."
Alphinaud pursed his lips together, his heart twisting as what remained of his ego fought to refuse her offer. However, today was not the time to try and preserve such, and he allowed himself to climb on her back before continuing across the Steps of Faith.
As he rested against her back, the boy reflected upon his experiences from the past several moons. Riding the same boat to Limsa Lominsa as Seren before getting to know her, separating from Alisaie over differences before finding her once more at the Coils of Bahamut, joining the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, forming the Crystal Braves… A lot, too much, had truly happened for a sixteen-summers-old child.
Alphinaud laid his head against Seren's shoulder, basking in her warmth as the cold winds blew against the three of them. When was the last time was he carried like this by anyone? His father Fourchenault began to drown in his work, and he was now too heavy for his mother Ameliance to hold him on her back like this. Without him realizing, Seren had practically become an older-sibling figure that he never had, a long-lost family member that he was supposed to have known all his life. Someone he could turn to for advice. Someone he could lean on for support...
Finding comfort in her presence, warmth against the freezing winds that threatened to stop them, Alphinaud drifted off to sleep.
Hearing that the Warrior of Light had a near-death experience, Estinien drops everything to visit him.
For Day 2: Hurt/Comfort
The 7.2 MSQ made my jaw DROP during a certain cutscene, especially given Rifra's weakness towards a certain affinity, so I had to write a quick fic in regards to it :'D
