RAN'SEO FINALLY HAS A FINISHED ART ahaha After maybe 2 years of hanging in my WIP folder.
He still has a very stylish and self-carved Macuahuitl as a weapon, and he's still on his little world tour making a name for himself.
I was describing this to a new art moot on twitter and stopped myself with the realisation that "big tim hunter goes on dangerous wold trip to hunt fun stuff and come home with trophies" means that RAN'SEO IS BASICALLY A PREDATOR hahaha
Nobody is safe on the Txepiva plains.
The Txepiva live in small clans permanently on the move. Unlike forest or reef folk, they build no long lasting homes. In the deeper plains, where volcanism renders life a lot more difficult, fights for the right to inhabit an oasis will easily escalate to deadly violence.
Txepiva warriors weave bone or even metal around their tswin, as decapitation at the base of it means certain death (as depicted above).
While the Omatikaya are great hunters, they are not nearly as used to warfare against other Na'vi as the Txepiva are.
You can see the differences between them too: Ran'seo (the Txepiva) has a hairless tail, notched as a status symbol. His ears are much larger, and also notched to mark his bonding with Tsealim (stunbats). His nose and eyes are also larger, adaptations to life in low light and poor air environments.

Never drew a baby Na'vi, so decided to add a little bit of fanclan lore as I sketched one to warm up the drawing muscles... The Ash Na'vi have larger ears, eyes and nostrils, and it's all especially obvious in the children. The clan crafts fabrics out of heat resistant grasses, dyes them, and braid them over the exposed children's tswin. They often add bells made out of dry seed husks when the toddlers begin to walk on their own, to help keep tabs on them.
Ash Na'vi don't have hair at the tip of their tail, and adult warriors notch it as a status symbol.
