RAN'SEO FINALLY HAS A FINISHED ART ahaha After maybe 2 years of hanging in my WIP folder.

He still has a very stylish and self-carved Macuahuitl as a weapon, and he's still on his little world tour making a name for himself.

I was describing this to a new art moot on twitter and stopped myself with the realisation that "big tim hunter goes on dangerous wold trip to hunt fun stuff and come home with trophies" means that RAN'SEO IS BASICALLY A PREDATOR hahaha

I made a much more accurate, but still more realistic version of Quetz's Macana/Macuahuitl!

here's my feastfone25 piece on its own. the art that came out of this game was amazing and I was surrounded by artists I really look up to, so I felt quite humbled at the reveal time!

I strongly recommend looking at the pieces in the game on THE WEBSITE, where they will not be compressed to death!!

a few things of note:

I used the team colours as the five key colours in the piece. as they were all QUITE LOUD colours the general piece came out even more eye-searing than my usual, but I quite like the surreal, bubblegum fever-dream look it created

the rabbit warriors were carried over from the previous piece in the chain (by @yellosnacc, a very cool artist) but I made mine wield macuahuitls in reference to the role of rabbits in Mexica mythology, particularly the Centzon Tōtōchtin

the plants in the front are a made up variety, the mouse is quite like a yellow-necked mouse but not quite, and the eyeball-snake guy is alive and active!

swordtember 2025 day 16-Whistle. Inspired by the Macuahuitl

I had thought that Dragons in Soaring would not typically use Swords. The Dragons in Soaring are all Quadrupedal, and holding a sword in your mouth seemed unbalanced to me so as much as I think Swords are cool I figured they may use other sorts of weapons: Clawed Gauntlets, Horned Helmets, Tail weapons, knifes attached to their wings, and maybe throwing spears, but only if they are in flight. Then I saw a video of a Dog sword who had watched her owners sword fight, and wanted to be part of the fun so she learned to fight with them too, holding a sword in her mouth. From there I was convinced it could work, may not be standard for Dragons cause it still takes up their mouths which could also be used for breathing their elemental power or for talking, but it could be really good for stealth, attacking an enemy who does not already know you are there. You don't typically need to talk while sneaking and breath attacks tend to be too flashy. The Puppo's name was also Pinto Bean, so I decided to draw Dragon Pinto with s sword of her own and I am thinking I might keep this cannon, though the Sword typically does not come out under normal circumstances. Although Pinto usually does not like having to fight other dragons unless as a last resort, she's more of a diplomat and a spell caster using her Valkirtani powers, but maybe she has spells on her sword. It's easy to forget with how kind and intelligent Pinto is, she is also kinda a chaotic wild girl and survivalist who grew up in the wild being raised by a father who is basically an MIA super spy.

Swordtember Day 5, 6, 7 - Edible, Smoke, Moon

CLUBSIDIAN (Rock) The obsidian bladed pokemon

CLUBSIDIAN (Club/Obsidian) Its body naturally produces obsidian shard that are as sharp as knives. Ancient civilizations would pick up this shards when they fell from their bodies and use them to make their tools and weapons., and when the pokemon died, they would use their tails and backs as clubs and shields.

CLUBSIDIAN is based on the Stegouros Elengassen, a recently discovered armored dinosaur from the order Ankylosauria , but instead of a club at the and of its tail it had a broad flat bladed tail that reminded me of the Macuahuitl, an aztec weapon that consisted of a large wooden club lined with obsidian blades, so I mixed both
