OC presentation: Randy& Micha

Okidoki! So @padresmadres​ wanted to know about these characters of mine. So I’ll try to do a small presentation of the information I have on them both so far. And if you’re interested to know what they look like, you can always check out on my artblog @ylvasart​

Just be aware that the information can change depending how much I work with this project in which these characters are a part of. 

First one out will be Randy! 

Full name: Randy Felicia Baker

Age: 23

Trivia: Randy lives with her father and her younger brother(Mother deceased since Randy was a young child). She helps out with her father to take care of a bakery that has been done through the family and will be the one taking over it(her brother doesn’t mind that.). Because of that, Randy has been very skilled at making bread and even with desserts. 

Another great skill she has is designing and sewing her own clothes. Almost everything she wears(except underwears, jewerly, shoes and socks) is handmade by her. She has done some outfits for her friends which she finds really fun and challenging to do. Randy always strive to improve herself. But she sees this as a mere hobby, and doesn’t want to pursuit a career of it. 

Randy is also Ryan’s ex girlfriend from when they were 16-19. They both broke it up peacefully and are now very close friends to each other. They both go to each other when the other one has a lot troubles in their minds that they can’t speak to others.  

Randy is also very close to Micha. Randy seems to be one of very few Micha tolerates and somewhat really sweet with. Randy really treasures her friendship with Micha and feels really safe when being around them.

Later on Randy gets to know Teshi and Darius. They both were quite the opposite to each others, one very energetic and somewhat naive when the other one was more for themselves and quite aggressive. But Randy managed to get them both on their good terms and became quickly friends with them. Although she tries not to make a huge deal of their respective…”cat-like” traits. 

Randy is really caring and want to give her friends a smile and cake. She’s rarely seen upset on her own behalf. if she does it’s because she’s concerned for someone else. She can somewhat look likes she has her head up in the clouds, but those who are close to her knows that Randy is really good to snap up if something is troubling one COUGHCOUGHexceptforMicha’scrushCOUGHCOUGH!!

Full name: Micha Park

Age: 21

Trivia: Micha lives with their mother and their Mama(who got together when Micha was 4 after their mother and father divorced and moved from south Korea). Micha is really close to both their parents. Micha’s mother is always trying to make sure that in their household Micha could always relax and feel like they can be and say whatever they want. Their mama likes to have a little spat and tease Micha in some occasions. Micha’s Mother and Mama is quite opposite in personality, but they both love Micha unconditionally, and Micha loves them back(Although Micha can feel a little bit embarrassed when them both goes all lovely-dovely in public or just do something awkward).  

Micha is going in school(which subjects and program they go I haven’t decided yet) and are classmate and friends with Axel Blomkrans. It was thanks to him that Micha got to know Ryan(who’s also Axel’s friend) and most of all, Randy, who was hanging with Ryan at that time(after they broke up). 

Micha developed a huge crush on Randy. Almost a painfully one. They sometimes act really quiet and forgot some words, and in other situations they seems calm and quite polite while speaking, when in their mind they either squealing of happiness or screams in panic. And it’s always with Randy. Another thing that Micha became aware because of it is that they became really jealous and almost possessive of Randy. They envious Ryan’s close relation with Randy and feels threatened by Teshi’s and Darius’ presence around Randy, and that makes Micha disgusted by themselves. They are also quick to be angry and shout at people they think has doing unjust or being a plain asshole. Both Randy and Axel has to save Micha in some occasions from being beatet to a pulp.

When Micha is feeling really down, they either take a smoke with Axel or drink a lot of black coffee. Micha has a habit to miss a lot of classes, but Axel is making sure to take notes and informs Micha what they had missed. 

One thing that Micha really loves to do is dancing. especially street dancing. When dancing Micha gives it all the focus and forgets everything else. Dance is their way to push away troubling thoughts at the moment. Micha dreams to be a pro dancer one day.  

Micha has a lot of tattoos. they are trying to spare money so they can make a complete sleeve on their left arm. Their mama wonders why Micha doesn’t add more on their right arm, where they have a single black star on. The reason why Micha doesn’t is that Randy has a light blue star tattoo on their right arm and said that it almost made them alike. so Micha believe it would ruin it if they added more on it.

Randy is also the only one who’s allowed to call Micha “Mitcha” after Randy heard their name wrong(Randy tried to correct herself, but Micha insisted that she kept calling them it). Anyone else who tries to call them that gets an angry Micha on their throats. 

Fun fact: The shipname I have for RandyxMicha is Rancha. Micha’s first design was based after a hair model in a fashion magazine.

Because @nannichuan really like my oc Micha and got me out of my artist block, they deserve to get some of my second favorite oc of mine (Nova hogging the first place hehe) with some interaction of their crush.

The Rancha one got a bonus because I wanted to show more of Micha's inner emotional conflict with their unsorted romantic feelings towards Randy. It's always hilarious to draw it so I take the opportunities I have to show it. They are such a mess!

Also Randy is the only one who got allowed to call Micha "Mitcha", hence why she sometimes calls them that.

I fumbled a bit with Teshi's dress there. It's minor but it's not to be used as reference when drawing her dress haha!

I decided her ribbon on her head peaks up when she gets angry or annoyed as a little fun gag. Like Nyyh getting her og cat ears for a moment when she gets surprised or scared.

And what to say about Novakira. They are just as lovely and adorable to draw 😘❤️ Muah!
