When Jenny ( @k00329235 ) and I were taking the spider web down, we both started unravelling it from different ends, resulting in the yarn being wrapped up in two separate skeins. I randomly noticed that it kind of resembled a spiders body, and Paul suggested that we take some photos of it.

We experimented with making legs out of yarn and by simply drawing them on a page with sharpie, and it proved to be much more accurate than I expected!

I thought it was really interesting that the web could be transformed into the spider, because usually a spider creates the web- but this was the other way around.

So this is pretty interesting.  A friend of mine who works at the local record store finds a lot of cool, old stuff that he finds when people unload music collections. The other day he gave me a bunch of old magazines and other random stuff that he found in a box because he assumed correctly that I would probably want it. A lot of them were show business related like this one. There were a stack of head shots for actors as well. Anyway, this cover was interesting because the address is for Howard Deutch. Who is he you ask? Well in the late 70′s and early 80′s he was head of advertising for United Artists Records and then began directing music videos (Billy Idol, Billy Joel) which in turn led to directing feature films like Pretty in Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful. So this magazine was his at one point in 1980. How it got to Cincinnati, Ohio is probably an interesting story.
