#random gameplay stuff

I spent pretty much my whole weekend playing the Koffees and making updates to their house. It’s a renovation of that one house in Henford where that one old couple lives (I believe). They died right around the time Amari and Emelia were looking to move and had the exact number of rooms they were looking for so I felt like it was meant to be, lol.

So... when the community blew up recently, I had this overwhelming urge to get rid of all my cc, but since I’m not crazy, lol, I kept hair, skin details, makeup, eyelashes, sliders/presets, all my mods (although I am going thru them) and got rid of everything else. When I tell y’all I was shocked I could not only play but build like this too???? Anyway, I’ve been playing this new save I’ve started cuz I’m STRESSED and can’t muster the energy to do anything outside my responsibilities and mindlessly play this damn game and building a good bit too (something I’ve missed doing outside of sets) so this is my most recent one. A little place for my sims to have the many, many babies that are born in my game, lol. My current family has a set of twins on the way.

In this low cc save of mine, I’ve been working on makeovers too. I usually just do the ones my sims interact with which happens to be these few the most. For my gameplay saves, I don’t bother changing outfits or hair most times unless the outfit is atrocious or I’m sick of seeing it. Crazy cat lady (bottom left)... her look annoys me in ways I can’t explain, so she got the most work done, lol.

Tartosa’s beautiful and I love the scenery and everything but it’s way too boring for a household with kids so I packed the family (and the house) up and moved them to Oasis Springs! The weather’s nice there too and the house still matches the world’s vibe (cause I was not about to build or redecorate another one).

I’m kinda excited for it too because we gained a backyard and in Tartosa we had none. It’s plain right now but I’ll renovate it over time like I always do.

Miracle isn’t too thrilled about the move tho (according to her journal). I guess having to move from San Myshuno to Tartosa was already a big enough change (on top of all of the other family changes) so she’s going through it a little. Poor baby 😢

Once Salim went to work, and Miracle to school, a few of the neighbors stopped by. The Welcome Wagon is what they called themselves. I’m guessing only men live in this neighborhood...

Salim hates his job, it seems. Maybe it’s time for a change?

Miracle’s looking forward to being a big sister...

and stopping by the food stall (right across the street from their house) to grab a hot chocolate every day after school. So I guess that’s something?

Camilla’s been reading nonstop...

painting too. She must be one of those who get super creative during pregnancy. I can relate, lol.

Salim decides to do something about his unhappy job situation. I wonder what he decided to do?

Camilla’s in her third trimester so her friends threw her a baby shower.

They were all too tempted by the hot tub over there to watch her open her gifts but it’s the thought that counts I guess.

She looks like we caught her doing something wrong, lol.

The next day was Winterfest. The family’s first Winterfest together, actually. While Camilla and Miracle took care of the tree...

Salim handled breakfast. Miracle’s glad he remembered to make something lactose free this time cause she can’t with the bubble guts anymore. 

Right after breakfast, Miracle’s mom, Erin, who we have not heard from or seen since the divorce stopped by unannounced. I said a quick prayer before having them invite her in.

She started off with some small talk, trying to pick up where they were before...

but Miracle was really upset about being kicked to the curb and essentially abandoned the way she was.

She got over it quick tho and went straight to insulting her. Erin figured it was best they spend a few minutes apart while she figures out a better way to connect with her.

Those few minutes were spent with Miracle in her room and Erin... in the hot tub... with Salim...

Camilla was like, “Why is she in my hot tub?”

And Salim was like, “I’m sorry.”

After a few awkward minutes in the hot tub, Erin tracked down Miracle and tried a new approach. Presents. Everyone likes presents and it’s Winterfest.

Seems like it worked!

I think they’re on their way to being in a better place.

Since things went so well with Erin and Miracle, Salim agreed to test out some new custody arrangements starting out with one day a week (starting asap).

Camilla was kinda sad about Miracle leaving so soon since the baby’s due (today I think) and she wants her to meet her sister, but she’s happy to see Miracle on better terms with her mom again.

I redid the backyard with all the little camper’s stuff but I forgot there was so much coming up for them and didn’t take pics. Once the baby’s born, I’ll have Miracle throw a sleepover so we’ll get to see it all then!

In my gameplay save, Miracle aged up to a teen and Camilla had the baby who also aged up; her name’s Lumi. Salim has some good ass genes, I’d say.

Miracle’s been stressed lately (because being 9 is hard) so she’s taken up yoga. She’s so cute.

Her sister called for the first time since the divorce. Did I mention she had an older sister (she’s a teen)? But we still haven’t heard from her mom. The conversation went well tho.

Speaking of her mom, that household right in the middle on the top row is where she moved from when she got remarried. She just...left the pets. Guess her kid wasn’t the only reminder of her old life she wanted to get rid of. 

Camilla’s pregnancy cravings have her up all hours of the night cooking... (she looks so sneaky, lol)

and adding sugar to... everything. Salim’s like, I’m not saying nothing, lol.

These two have become like best friends and Camilla is definitely her preferred playmate. Salim can’t quite get the dollhouse game right but it’s cool cause Camilla’s got it covered. She’s gonna be a great mom.

Salim almost died. Again.

They found out they’re having a girl. Fun fact! In every save I’ve ever played her in, the ones where she has kids, she always has a girl. Crazy isn’t it?

Salim got nominated for a Starlight Accolade...

But he didn’t win and he was sad. Aww!
