Hello.. newer fan..well a little over a year in. Definatly a Larry☺️ and desperately hoping they are still going strong. I have been following your blog for a while and must admit I was educated by some of it(which isn't a bad thing) and some I find very interesting and well put together. Your thought process and research is done with great detail. I also appreciate that you are willing to hear other opinions ☺️. That being said I'm excited for Louis new album and scared all at the same time.. I must admit I prefer Harry's style over Louis's but they both are equally talented in different ways if that makes sense?. Louis album will tell a story and I'm not one to be good at analyzing the stories lol. So my questions for you are:
Are you nervous about the album and it's story? Will the story tell us they are together or apart? Do you feel as an analyzer you will be able to "feel" the new record and be able to objectively analyze it in an " un larry" way or will you always try to connect it in that way? 🤪..don't get me wrong I'd love if you do LOL
Last question.. you are very knowledgeable..do you know people in the industry or have inside info that you base your research on? I know there are some bloggers on here that work in the industry in some capacity..so just was wondering if you have connections.
Thanks for reading my babble and would love to hear your take on my questions. Either way I love your blog and hope you continue to give your perspective!!
hi! these are great questions, and i have a lot to say. thank you for all the compliments, it means a lot that people like my blog and find my words valuable in any capacity, i've always been one to speak my mind no matter how controversial my opinions can be, so im very grateful to have found space in this fandom.
what you said about preferring harry's sound makes sense, we all have musical preferences. i tend to prefer louis' music more, because i liked that kinda soft rock-y vibe before i joined this fandom. and ofc zayn is my fave of the bunch as far as music stands alone. having music preferences is totally normal.
Are you nervous about the album and it's story? Will the story tell us they are together or apart?
definitely not nervous, personally. im VERY excited, louis' new sound from the snippet of lemonade sounds SO good and im counting down the days til it releases, and the days til my CD arrives.
as for the story it's bound to tell- i've made some predictions based on the clues we have thus far, so i'm already theorizing really. i think it'll talk a lot about his relationship with harry, evidenced by the stunt he's had to do leading up to it's announcement, and i also suspect a few songs will touch on the industry and how it's trapped him, but that's solely based on how i've interpreted some of the clues, i could be wrong.
i firmly believe they're still together and have never really broken up, not in a way that matters at least, so im not worried about the album having breakup themes or anything like that. that being said, i know sometimes albums do have references to the stunts in them, which has historically been more obvious in harry's music, i think. i'm expecting some level of stunt reference, i reckon it's part of the whole deal, so i won't be blindsided or disappointed if that happens.
i do think louis (and harry) are very smart, though, and their stunt songs tend to hold double meanings and refer to one another at the end of the day, if you pay close enough attention.
Do you feel as an analyzer you will be able to "feel" the new record and be able to objectively analyze it in an " un larry" way or will you always try to connect it in that way?
i'm VERY excited to analyze the new songs when lt3 drops. this is my first album drop since joining the fandom, so i'm excited about everything. i can't honestly say any analysis i do is objective, since i obviously hold the baseline bias of liking the members of one direction, and the bias of being a larrie. everyone has biases, and any interpretations of music are going to be filtered through someone's biases. it's just human.
i will say i don't always go into things trying to connect every detail to larry. often times my pattern recognition will pick up on things so i'll point them out, but there's plenty that i miss or don't think to connect and thus stay silent on. obviously, it's not visible when i don't talk about something, so that does make it look like i connect everything to larry based on what i do talk about.
do you know people in the industry or have inside info that you base your research on? I know there are some bloggers on here that work in the industry in some capacity..so just was wondering if you have connections.
i don't work in the industry, i actually don't work at all at the moment because i'm disabled, which is why i spend so much time online lol. as for connections to the industry, it's hard to say. i don't have connections i could easily verify to a wider audience, but i have been told some things that do influence the direction i go with my research, both on and off of tumblr.
for example, my post compiling evidence on simon cowell being a pedophile was sparked by someone, a source i cant reveal unfortunately, pointing me in that direction, where i otherwise wouldn't have known to look. many of my posts digging into the industry's history of abuse were sparked from that anonymous source, but the info in my posts always has a public source unless it's my opinion/theory or i'm clarifying that i'm looking for more evidence on something.
