John Walker headcanon I've had sitting in my drafts for a while: John maybe not so secretly loves a good 80s power ballad and also Dirty Dancing (including all of the 60s tunes), because Dirty Dancing was Olivia's favourite movie when they were in high school.

I'm just lowkey charmed by the idea of John being so smitten with her and the two of them being young and stupid and in love to the soundtrack of "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" and "Hungry Eyes."

Also, in this headcanon, their prom theme was inspired by the movie, and yes, she made him practice the lift. And then they did it again at their wedding.

During the early days of the Thunderbolts living together, the team quickly learns that John's having a Really Bad Day whenever he blasts "Time of My Life."

I'm now also imaging him sitting in his bedroom at the Tower (or wherever he was living before), listening to "Hungry Eyes," and anticipating/dreading the bridge:

"I need you to see / This love was meant to be"

I've been reading more in the past few days. I've realised that I just really REALLY dislike being interrupted while reading, so I end up just... Not reading at all 😓 it's kinda silly I guess. I could set up a schedule to read and make sure I'm uninterrupted, but i dont want to set a timer for reading either -_-

I've consciously prioritized reading over immediately replying to messages, spending idle time scrolling on my phone, etc.

After my sibling returned to her city, I've finally had the time to do things for myself and with my partner being in office, my morning hours are almost fully mine (save for the cats and chores) and I've done nothing but read. I've already finished the first mistborn book. I feel so happy about it because I genuinely thought I had lost my love for reading.

I suppose I just need to read and deal with interruptions as they come otherwise I'll always put it off 😔

I will meet Miyu! Twice! I'm still pondering what I should say and in what language. But I will certainly tell him that I'm a oversea fan and that there are a lot of other oversea fans who support him but couldn't come. And that his live tour last year was my first Miyu live concert I got to attend. And how much I appreciate his work and that I hope he will continue to strive forward as he always does, free-spirited, curious and adventurous.🥰

Since you only have, like, ten seconds, I try to keep it short and on point. I hope that my nervousness won't get in the way lol. And that my nerves will be calmer in the second round.😅 Where I can relay to him my thoughts that I couldn't say in the first round.

I was also torn between wearing a Yukata or my blue summer sweater. What I can confirm is that summer in Tokyo is HELL. And despite Yukata being a summer version of japanese traditional clothing, it's still hotter than wearing a modern lighter clothing. But I eventually decided to buy a Yukata and have myself styled and clothed by professional hands. 😁 And luckily, tmr will be comparably cooler, with rain being forecasted as well (that's our "rain man", Miyu 😂).

every now and then im consumed so strongly by grief is hard to do anything else. there are so many things i wish i could talk to my friend about and i just cant bc she isnt here anymore, and her dying was so fuckin stupid and unfair. sometimes i talk aloud like i'm talking to her and hope she hears wherever she is but it's not the same, and so many things that happened since then just don't seem real bc i didnt get to tell her and that hurts so much.
