Fiona and Niklaus - First Christmas (Fanfic)
In which Fiona Gallagher and Klaus Mikaelson spend their first Christmas together.
Baby, It’s Cold Outside
Fiona was putting her coat on and then her beanie. She had spent all of Christmas Eve with Niklaus and his family. She was getting ready to home, she glanced at Klaus who was looking at her with a smirk, his suit was crisp and pressed, his eyes looked mischievous.
Niklaus walked to the grand piano and he began playing a song Fiona was very familiar with. Fiona rolled her eyes and Niklaus looked at her with a raised eyebrow. Fiona made a face before smiling, “I really can't stay -” Fiona sang, her voice soft, as she walked towards the door. She paused at the door
“Baby it’s cold outside-” Klaus sang his smooth voice and bravado of his voice with his accent sounded pleasant to the ears.
“I've got to go away-” Fiona sang with a small amused smile playing on her lips.
“Baby it’s cold outside,” Klaus sang in a pressing voice, in a way that was meaning he was concerned it was cold. Fiona bit her lip.
“This evening has been-” Fiona started but Klaus cut her off,
“ Been hoping that you'd drop in” He sang and looked at her with a big grin.
“So very nice-” Fiona finished and raised her eyebrows her hand leaving the doorknob.
“ I'll hold your hands, they're just like ice-” Klaus sang and smiled as Elijah -who had been watching from the door frame with a small smirk suddenly took the piano over and Klaus stood up and started making his way to Fiona.
“Sebastian will start to worry,” Fiona sang with a teasing smile because Sebastian was Sebastian. Klaus chuckled softly.
“Beautiful, what’s your hurry?-” Klaus asked in that beautiful singing voice of his and took her hands as he reached her pulling her into the living room.
“Devon will be pacing the floor.” Fiona sang back holding her laugh back and Klaus smirked some.
“Listen to the fireplace roar-” Klaus sang and Fiona tilted her head as he looked to the fireplace.
“So really, I’d better scurry-” Fiona sang with a smile
“Beautiful, please don't hurry-” Klaus sang back
“Maybe just half a drink more?” Fiona question and looked at her wine glass on the table, Klaus smirked and started walking to it while singing,
“Elijah will play on, while I pour.” Klaus sang back and glanced at Elijah who was playing the piano and looked at Klaus slowly. Fiona bit her lip.
“The neighbors might think,” Fiona sang with a smile watching him come back with her drink and his.
“Baby, it’s bad out there,” Klaus sang drinking his drink to his lips.
“Say, what's in this drink?” Fiona asked in her singing with a playful expression.
“No cabs to be had out there,” Klaus sang looking out the window at the heavy snow and looked at Fiona with a wink.
“I wish I knew how,” Fiona started and Looked to Klaus who laid a hand on her cheek gently, feeling the smooth skin
“Your eyes are like starlight now,” Klaus sang looking as though he was inching forward. Fiona let in a small breath of air.
“To break the spell,” Fiona sang in a whisper looking at his lips.
“I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell,” Klaus said reaching up and taking Fiona’s beanie off her head and throwing it across the room. Fiona rolled her eyes playfully.
Fiona started walking that way towards it slowly still facing Klaus who followed slowly a charming smirk on his face. “I ought to say no, no, no,”
“Mind if I move in closer?” Klaus sang leaning forward to steal a kiss, Fiona turning away from him with a small smirk, holding out on a kiss.
“At least I'm gonna say that I tried-” Fiona sang softly as Klaus grabbed her wrist and spun her around,
“What's the sense in hurting my pride? ” Klaus asked in his smooth and soft singing voice, Fiona smiled some and leaned forward,
“I really can’t stay,” Fiona sang gently a raised eyebrow
“Baby don't hold out,” Klaus once tried again to steal a kiss, but Fiona pulled away and smiled
“Ah, but it's cold outside,”
Fiona and Klaus sang together, Klaus’s eyes sparkled with this small admiration, Fiona’s cheeks were dusted over with a small pink shade, her red dress clung to her small form.
“I've got to get home-” Fiona sang and Klaus smirked.
“ Oh, baby, you'll freeze out there,” Klaus’s gentle voice sang back his accent thick through-out it.
“Say, lend me your coat,” Fiona sang and Klaus looked at his suit coat and shook his head with a smirk.
“It's up to your knees out there,” Klaus sang back looking down at Fiona’s legs. Fiona grabbed his hand gently and smile.
“You've really been grand,” Fiona sang and Klaus looked down at her hand
“Thrill when you touch my hand,” Klaus sang and looked down at her. Fiona rolled her eyes with a smile.
“Why don't you see,” Fiona sang. Klaus looked at her with a pleasant smile.
“How can you do this thing to me?” Klaus sang softly and laid a hand on her cheek again.
“There's bound to be talk tomorrow,” Fiona sang back leaning into the touch of his hand and Klaus smiled more.
“Think of my lifelong sorrow,” Klaus sang and pulled Fiona closer. Fiona tilted her head.
“At least there will be plenty implied,” Fiona raised an eyebrow with a smirk,
“If you caught pneumonia and died,”\ Klaus said the pad of his thumb brushing against her cheek.
“I really can't stay,” Fiona whisper-sang and Klaus smirked some and shook his head. He wouldn’t let her leave anyways.
“Get over that holdout,” Klaus sang back his lips brushing over hers gently.
“Ah, but it's cold outside,”
Fiona and Klaus sang and Klaus kissed her passionately, Fiona wasn’t going home.
Elijah looked up and smiled some, taking his hands off the piano.
Kol and Rebekah watched from the stairs with raised eyebrows.
Fiona and Klaus were in their own world now.

Contemplating on leaving the Becket boys be for now... although I’d really love to rp with Yancy just once! But I’d like to concentrate on my OC’s and Opie. I am thinking about making a Thomas W. Teller for real this time... would anybody be interested in rping with him? I’ll try to put up his backstory in the next couple of days.
Danceverse Optimus doesn't know how to TMI Tuesday properly because he's a dork.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) was In a full run at this point, as he dashed through the mines, his labored panting echoing louder than his now pounding footsteps. It was a miracle that he hadnt run into any walls in the pitch blackness yet. And he would certainly be doomed if he did, as 'headless charlie' was gaining on him. Nov 14
Nico di Angelo felt as though something was stirring under his feet and silently groaned. The Labyrinth, he thought to himself, knowing that it was currently expanding at a moderate speed. It wouldn't take long till it encompassed its previous size--that is, around the world. Which would be just great. He shuddered when he remembered the ghost of the milkman who'd gotten lost down there, not wishing those horrors on any normal mortal.
Nico di Angelo spotted the mines in the distance after a long walk, and was starting to wonder if it was a good idea to venture here. Stretching out his senses, he realized there were two presences in the mines--neither of them human. "Merda," he cursed, knowing for sure that he was going to be in trouble if those presences ventured out of the mines. Hopefully they wouldn't.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) had spoken too soon. He ran head on into a wall- wait! No, it wasnt a wall- it was a boulder! It was rounded, and he had get the slightest movement as he plowed into it. A loud, HISSSS echoed from the small corridor behind him. He had little, to no time. Alfred turned off his panicking brain, and surrendered his head to instinct, and muscle like he always would when the going got deadly. This boulder blocking his path was nearly three times his height- a lost cause for any normal human. Luckily Alfred was far from a normal human, and retained his abnormal strength. There was no time for calculations- charlie- the thing was right there! Alfred braced his shoulders against the huge chunk of rock, and foucased all his being- all his might on getting it to move. It did! Only a crack, but Alfred could see a dim light coming from it, and heard that inhuman his practically on his throat. He threw himself out if the way, sliding through the crevice between wall, and boulder that he had created as quickly as humanly possible. He then leaned his back against the boulder thanking god for his strength, and shoving it back into place. As soon as the boulder connected with what he thought was the wall again, he heard a horrible bloodcurdling, and distinctly female screetch of pain. In the dim light of a lantern that was broken on the ground in this small alcove blocked off from the rest of the mine, an arm clawing at the wall, and boulder that it was pinned between, and flailing about.
Nico di Angelo felt one of the creatures' life auras start to fade as the wailing started, and drew his sword, not caring if anyone noticed. After all, he counted on the Mist to take care of that. His eyes narrowing in suspicion, he took a step closer, trying to see what was going on. The other creature's life aura was still stable--to an almost too healthy extent, which worried him. That wasn't commonly good news. If it were a god or goddess, he would have to show respect lest he get turned into a blob of Nico-goo. If something else...well, he'd just have to be careful, he surmised. Gripping his sword hilt tightly, he looked around, trying to sense for other life auras. None. Whether that was a good thing or not remains to be seen, since he knew it could go both ways.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) noticed once again that the arm was distinctly female, but didnt dare go near it. Well there was certainly no truning back now. He instead turned to look at where he had trapped himself, feeling his heart drop to his stomach when he saw in the dim light that this place he had trapped himself in had no exit. But it did have something else that caused Alfred's stomach to churn for more than his compromising predictiment. A body well- a skeleton sparkled out across the dirt floor. It was clothed in a decomposing pair of overalls, thick minor boots where his skeletal feet disappeared. Also its lack of a skull. I belive our dear Afred has located the body of headless charlie, but if this is headless charlie, then who had been chaseing him? Alfred did not particularly want to know.
Nico di Angelo pressed his hand against a part of the mine that was, unbeknownst to him at the moment, close to Alfred's location. He could sense a few ghosts, but none of them were near the mines--which was either a great sign or a bad sign, he still wasn't sure which. Concentrating for the living instead, he could still only sense one life aura aside from his own. Deciding to do some investigating, but not too deep investigating, he started to poke his sword through a crack, intending on literally cutting a chunk out with it.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) was going over his situation once again in his head when he heard the distinctive sound if Rock scraping against metal, and his head snapped in the direction it came from. He didn't dare speak as it may have just been another of those things. However he made the mistake of attempting to back up a couple feet from the boulder, and managed to step on the broken lantern on the floor. The light noticeably dimmed, and Alfred cringed from the would of broken glass. He could surely be detected now.
Nico di Angelo started to slowly carve the chunk of rock, before letting it fall inwards. Waving away the plume of dust that resulted from the collapse, he peeked inside, still holding his sword up and ready to go on the offensive or defensive in the blink of an eye, figuring that the one life aura couldn't possibly be friendly in any shape or form. It wasn't long before he caught sight of someone nearby, and he stared suspiciously at said someone, not speaking a word and simply assessing him. While seemingly not a threat, he knew he couldn't be fooled by that.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) swallowed, attempting to quiet his panicked panting as he noticed a chunk being carved through the rock. Knowing that he may have to fight, he shuffled over to the wall of the alcove easily lifting the fallen miner's pickax. He swallowed his fear that whatever may be entreating entrance to the alcove he had taken shelter in would be hostile, and not human. "Who's there?!" He called into the darkness gripping the pickax tighter, and holding it in a more defensive position. "If you ain't friendly then you best not try anything! I'm warning you" he added trying to sound threatening, and ignoring his flawed English that emerged out if habit at times.
Nico di Angelo bit back a sigh and simply lowered his sword slightly as he stepped in. "Relax, I'm not going to try anything. Not unless you do," he replied. Not noticing the shadows seemingly curving in his direction like he was some sort of magnet for darkness, he took another step forward, already taking in the other man's appearance. By the looks of it, the man looked about college age, but he knew from encounters with various gods that that tended to mean nothing. "If you don't mind telling me, who are you, and what are you doing here?" he continued, keeping his voice level all the while.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) took in Nico's appearance as he was doing the same. He was a deathly pale, and fairly thin boy who looked around 14 to him ((I can't remember Nico's age. I think that's it)). He was wearing dark clothes, and was that a sword he was holding?! His physical appearance didn't come off as all too threatening for Alfred, but his ability to cut through solid stone with a sword said their wise. He didnt drop the pickax, but made no move t attack either. "Alfred. Alfred Jones. I'm not supposed to be down here- I fell. I'm trying to find my way out, and I've already been attacked by something" he answered honestly against his better judgement. "Now who're you? Answer quick."
Nico di Angelo didn't think "Alfred Jones" sounded like a typical monster name, but then again, it was hard to say in these cases. Going with the safest option, he replied, "Nicholas. Nicholas Angels." At least the "Angels" part wasn't a complete lie, anyway. "As for what I'm doing here...I'm just looking around. I heard something like a wailing--would that be your attacker?" He kept his sword drawn and hadn't relaxed the whole time, not taking any chances.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) nodded slowly not taking any chances either. Despite the fact that "Nicholas" did not seem openly hostile, he still felt threatened, And understandably so. Who wouldn't in this situation? "Pinned it with the boulder, and it just- dissolved" he explained perplexed, and frightened by the unnatural reaction. "And I mean what are you doing down here. These mines were abandoned, and sealed off last I checked, and what's with the sword?" He questioned further nodding towards nico's weapon. Nov 14
Nico di Angelo So he could see through the Mist? That gave him more worries than he'd expected, since it was obvious Alfred could see the sword for what it was. "It's just a relic, I guess. Family relic," he half-lied. "And like I said before, I was just looking around. Out of, you know, curiosity." Yeah, he was probably failing at coming up with a plausible cover story, but tiredness played a factor in that, unfortunately. If he had been less tired, he might have been more convincing, but as it was, he probably sounded like he was on the verge of dozing off, so to speak.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) scanned over the sword once again taking note of the style in which it was crafted, the discoloration, and material. It was a short blade, and pitch black. Built in an almost ancient style- nothing remotely modern. Now that people commonly use swords in modern day. And it was pitch black. Needless to say it was certainly not anything like Alfred had ever seen before, and it was definitely not an American weapon. "Last I checked curiosity doesn't get you through the sealed off entrances. "
Nico di Angelo "Last I checked, most people wouldn't 'just happen' to stand by a boulder with a pile of dust underneath," he countered, nodding to said boulder, before sighing, leaning against the wall for support. The talking had taken quite a bit of energy out of him. "I wouldn't advise you to go any farther than you've probably already went. You'll get horribly lost."
Alfred F. Jones(USA) "I moved it to get in here-" he countered realizing his mistake all too late. That boulder was huge. Impossible for any human to move, and yet he had just admitted to doing it. He sensed something off about yhis kid, and i made him shiver. he simply radiated a feeling that Alfred was all too familiar with. death. Alfred didnt like it one bit. He had even almost considered lowing his sword at how fatigued the kid looked, but listened to his senses. This person was on to him, and he felt absolutely threatened.
Nico di Angelo looked between the boulder and then to Alfred, his eyes narrowing a bit as he fought off a wave of exhaustion that threatened to overwhelm him. "You...moved the boulder?" Yep, that more or less confirmed his suspicions--the guy in front of him was definitely not normal, if he could move a boulder and crush a monster with seeming ease, seeing as Alfred looked like he hadn't broken a sweat when he did it. He was starting to wonder if maybe it wasn't a good idea to stay here, as he suspected if Alfred felt threatened enough, he might hurl the weapon currently in his hands as easily as a simple kitchen knife. Despite what people might believe and claim, he did not want to die right now. Far from it, in fact--he wanted to escape alive, unless most of his sanity was shredded in the process.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) welp. No taking that back now. He nodded again, noticing the all to familiar look in his eyes of recognition that he was not a human. At this point however Alfred was fairly certain that the boy n front of him was no more human than he. Being the classic Alfred he decided to lay it down flat. "Yeah I did" he said almost too casually. I may not be human, but you arent either. What the hell are you?". Alfred git to the point straight away, still ready to attack with his pickax if he felt the need to.
Nico di Angelo tilted his head slightly, assessing Alfred for a moment, before shrugging--well, as much as he could shrug, anyway. It wasn't like Alfred was lying so far, so it couldn't hurt to tell a little bit of the truth, would it? "Fine, you got me." He managed a smile, although his smile was far from friendly. "It's Nico, not Nicholas. As for who exactly I am..." He shook his head. "It's not something I share freely, that much I can say." He kept himself on guard, just in case Alfred attacked.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) made a tchh noise lowering his pickax a bit. "Well I'll have you know that I don't exactally have the liberty to share who exactally I am either. The UN would be on my ass in five seconds flat." he said almost rolling his eyes. If not the UN then his govornment. Both tended to be a bit overbearing with protecting his identity. He supposed it was entirely understandable, and they should be applauded for the effort, but any attempts to control thier personification could easily be overcome by him.
Nico di Angelo "The UN?" He bit back an overflow of questions--was this guy involved in the mortal government somehow? What did he mean by the UN being on his ass in five seconds flat? That wouldn't explain his current location though--most mortals tended to stay clear of these kind of places. Especially government workers. Not unless they were demigods, but Alfred definitely wasn't, he knew that much.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) nodded again, this time allowing a slight smirk to grown on his face. "Yep. I mean I've given away secrets before, they just don't approve of it very much. Well that's an understatement but still, I'm willing to tell you who- or what I am, if you're willing to do the same." He said suddenly bartering. He lowered his pickax almost completely. He could just lift it up again if he wanted to anyway.
Nico di Angelo resisted the urge to roll his eyes. Yeah, like I'm just going to give up information at the drop of a hat, he thought, but instead replied, "Why would I do that? I barely know you, aside from the fact that your name is apparently 'Alfred Jones', and that you're connected with the m--that is, government. Believe me, I'm more inclined to trust a three bodied rancher who sells cow meat for a living." The last part wasn't quite true, but it wasn't like he wanted to correct it anyway.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) raised his eyebrow at the 'three bodied rancher' part of that, before shrugging. "I dunno, I figured you were just as curious as I am. I mean while I'm not a very superstitious person I've never been sure if my kind is the only being a bit-.. More than human." He decided that would work to describe what he was trying to. "But I can recount many timed where those lines have been... Blurred." Suddenly a thought occurred to him. The memory of a feeling that matched the one he received from nico. Not keeping up a decent poker face at this point, the puzzle peices going together in his head was shown visably in his expression. "Hey, you don't have anything to do with a certain place in Long Island, and San Francisco, do you?"
Nico di Angelo 's eyes widened for a moment, before narrowing again. He couldn't mean... he thought, unable to complete his thought at that moment. "Maybe I do, maybe I don't. What's it to you?" he asked, his grip on the hilt of his sword tightening as the conclusion slowly sank in. Not many people said that kind of thing to him, especially not regular mortals. That could only mean...
Alfred F. Jones(USA) 's question was seemingly answered, he continued to lower his guard not really paying attention to nico shifting into a more guarded- threatened position. "So you do know about it!" Was the conclusion he drew. "Hah! Well I mean those two places are a part of me, I notice when the feel a bit uh.. Off. And I'm picking uo the same kinda vibe from you too!" He said half to himself applauding his ingenious deduction skills, and half explaining to nico. At this point his pickax was on the ground, and he was practically leaning on it.
Nico di Angelo would have laughed at this reaction had this been any other time. However, at the moment, he didn't feel like laughing. "That's great," he said, his tone edgy as he kept a tight grip on his sword hilt. He didn't intend on giving away any more secrets, especially not his parentage. No doubt Alfred would most likely shun him for that, like everyone else did. Not that he cared, obviously. The phrasing of Alfred's words was a bit off, as well, which only made him more determined to keep his secrets from being forced out. The way he said it...it was almost as if Alfred was the land itself. After Gaea and all, that didn't exactly reassure him in any way.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) didn't seem to realize he was done giving secrets, and began spilling questions faster than a prosecutor in court. "So what is there? Are the people there not human- or not really human? I've seen some pretty freaky shit of the centuries do those have anything to do with those places? What the hell happened that year with the superstorm? that was not pretty bad for me and I still don't know what the fuck it was. What is this place? Does it have anything to do with that? Does that sword you got there? Why is it such a weird color?-" he stopped to breath, aft that flood of questions. Once someone hit him started it would take quite a lot to get him to stop. He didnt even hold his tongue when the big mouth of his spilled one or two secrets if his own.
Nico di Angelo "Centuries?" That was even more fuel for a theory that had started to grow in his mind about "Alfred", which he was starting to doubt was even his real name in the first place. Deciding that he would continue to avoid giving a completely accurate answer in response, since Alfred hadn't really been giving much of that sort, he replied, "I guess it was just bad luck, then. I mean, that happens, right?" In the process, he deliberately ignored the questions about his sword and the people "there" not really human, deciding he couldn't exactly counter that with a half-truth.
Alfred F. Jones(USA) only caught his rather large slip up when nico pointed it out. Well he had already givin away that he wasnt human, if he backtracked and said something like 'I meant years' that would be the most obvious lie he's told so far. Why deny his mistake. "You heard me." What his only respinse to that. His smile fell at the 'bad luck' line. That was bull shit if he ever heard it. "Bad luck?" He questioned. "Lemme tell ya, nico" he said addressing him almost casually. "I've been the victim of 'bad luck' enough times to distinguish it, and that sure as hell ain't it."
Nico di Angelo smiled a bit in response to that, though again, it was far from friendly. "I guess not," he replied, deciding it was time to drop the act. It wasn't helping his current state, nor was it helping him with Alfred. "Let's just put it simply: the Fates want you to have a miserable time." Not that he'd understand that, he added in his head silently, but didn't voice this aloud. He decided that that was the most he was going to reveal that may or may not be the truth.
