the anime better address this at some point, the kid has canonically had at least one birthday and i just really want to see what explanation they can come up with

And the fingernails/animation style made him look older in XY (because growing fingernails is clearly a part of puberty, obvs) but it seems like it was all for naught. 

 And, tbh, a story about someone who has an independent and ambitious personality perpetually frozen at age 10 would be really interesting?

to be honest, that sounds a lot like me and... basically all of my emotions. i have no idea if my weird brain qualifies as a system because there's so many voices and personalities that all feel simultaneously distinct and yet all part of one person (that makes up "me", i guess).

i don't know how much that helps, other than letting you know that there's another case out there like this that's similar.  i hope everything goes well with the new potential headmate!

Have you ever done research on median systems? That term might be useful to you. It’s a type of plurality in which system members are facets of a “core”--who is, in this case, you.

thanks! I hope tomorrow goes well, and luckily my days alternate so the plans I’m staying up late to write (right now) will also work for Friday (other than probably tweaking them if needed) so I can plan for a long time ahead over the weekend with slightly less effort

this was one of my favorite parts about the sprites

I just... never realized! I knew the obvious ones like Pikachu differences, but vileplume’s spots, tusk and teeth sizes, fishy tendrils... there’s so many differences! It’s a neat find for me, I wish I’d realized earlier!

I lean into believing in luck a lot, actually. I always had my lucky pencil and lucky eraser whenever I took an exam in college. And it worked!

Candy Corn:What food disgusts you the most?

I’m not a huge fan of fish.

Monster:What is your favorite scary movie to watch in the dark?

The Babadook is a masterpiece. Would recommend watching at night 9/10

I’m a huge sucker for the whole thanksgiving dealio, but I gotta say my favorite is smoked turkey.

8, 9, 32!

8 - i’m most proud of the fact that I’m still alive. really an impeccable feat, that one.

9 - my tattoo, my piercings, my eyes, and occasionally (when it decides to cooperate) my hair. i like all the scars i have that i can remember the reasons for (like the one on my nose i got from a cat who had a love-hate relationship with me, but he mellowed out in his later years... i deserved the smack though, that was totally on me)

32 - i guess my grandparent’s house! that’s where that cat lived, by the way. but i spent a lot of time there, growing up. running around outside with my cousins, sitting inside with books or coloring books or playing the piano, climbing trees, and a lot of time spent in that turtle sandbox. once when i was really young, it was a bright and sunny day, and it started raining in the front yard. but not the other yards. not anywhere else, just the front yard. while it was sunny. nobody believed me when i mentioned it.

this is more practical than it is pagan, but would dried rice or beans be acceptable? i know that’s often a fix when it comes to saltshakers, but i don’t know if it would change anything magic-wise

the cool thing about magic is it isn’t fussy. i just don’t have any dried rice because i cooked it all.

thanks! i got 500mg penicillin so i should be fine. this only started rearing its ugly head thursday morning and last time i waited two weeks to see if i’d get better (one week of mild malaise that led to a week of absolute hell, BEFORE i conceded to go to a doctor) so i’m getting on top of it before it becomes as bad as last time.

penicillin is fucking amazing though, i am so grateful for its existence.
