I've been rolling my shirts like this for years now. Its the best space saver for shirts there is. Especially comes in handy for when you have little ones running through your folded laundry all the time. You can throw it around all you want to and it won't mess up your hard work
I love this technique. I use it at home all the time and it really helps me save on space!

Military personal know how to keep stored clothing from creasing. They use the Ranger Roll technique to keep their clothes tight in a pack and also from creasing as much as possible. I played around with curves for the Oort 51 and kept the Ranger Roll in mind.
I’m using some great Hermann oak English harness leather and double brass Strong Eye Latches for the Oort 51. It’s not a military design or pack, but it is unique and if you use the Ranger Roll technique on fine sweaters, shirts, socks and almost any clothes you can minimize your creasing and get a tight storage fit in this luggage.

I’m, using one long plate to highlight the natural characteristic of harness tanned leather. I think when working with this leather in particular it is best to minimize the stitching and hardware and let the beauty of this American tanned leather speak.
