Sometimes it was hard for Jay to stay in one place, and he had to go out of his gym to explore. His gym was rather green on the inside, so it did have an outside-feel to it, but not everything about his gym was open. He enjoyed taking his Pokémon out to go on a walk with him when he had the chance. He also took this as an opportunity to look at the fall plants, to see if there were any he could use for his Pokémon.
Today, he had his Sawsbuck companion out, who found a spot between the trees to bask in the sun. The Pokemon was quite quiet compared to most of his team—it gave Jay more time to think. However, when he heard movement from his pokemon, he looked over to see what had startled it. There appeared to be another Sawsbuck, one that wasn’t his own. It looked well-kept, too, and Jay immediately knew it belonged to a trainer.
❝ It’s alright, ❞ he patted his own Sawsbuck, and settled him down right away (although, it did shake its head). Fixing his glasses, Jay examined the area more closely and looked for the owner of the beautiful pokemon. When he saw someone, he wondered how he should react. What if they wanted to battle way out here? He had to find a way to do this without causing ruckus.
❝ Does that Sawsbuck belong to you? Not many trainers venture out here. ❞ He spoke when the trainer got closer, as Jay wasn’t the type to holler. The other seemed prepared, and not lost-- at least, he hoped they weren’t.
