((It takes an especially idiotic species to reduce the combination of two integral muscles within the human body to a simple and over-used motif, and to have a woefully small amount of its population even aware that that's the image they are continuously sending in their pitiful little texts and meaningless correspondence.
Even more baffling is the importance they attach to a mere cardiovascular muscle, and the sentiment expressed at the joining of two separate ones. Clearly these people have never actually seen two actual human hearts sewn together.
But it is your species darling, so all mocking aside: happy valentines day. In the tradition of your planet, I have presented you with my heart. However, If you don't mind, I'll be keeping my other one for myself.
Admittedly, this was created at short notice, so don't ask what material I used for the paint.))
Sail, AWOLNATION
Sail!
Moriarty opened his eyes as his little music alarm sounded. It was quiet, quiet enough not to wake the woman sleeping beside him. She so rarely slept, but when the Rani did sleep he enjoyed not waking her.
This is how I show my loveI made it in my mind becauseI blame it on my A.D.D baby
He got up slowly, careful not to disturb her as he untangled himself. He checked himself over, looking the new array red lines she left on his back and chest. He couldn't help but smile.
This how an angel criesI blame it on my own sick prideBlame it on my A.D.D baby
He quickly got dressed and pulled out some paper and a pen for her to scrawl a message. He very much doubted she would mind his absence, but he knew it was considered romantic, so he wrote.
Maybe I'm a different breedMaybe I'm not listeningSo blame it on my A.D.D baby
They'd had a fight the night before, but at the moment, it didn't matter anymore and that pleased him greatly. He would't say he loved the Rani and he knew she would never make the reciprocating boast, but he did enjoy her presence in his life in the capacity that she fulfilled, just as she enjoyed his.
For them, that was enough to be happy.

Raniarty - who is the big spoon/little spoon? ;D ;D
How am I not surprised that it is who you asked the first question. Jealous, Captain? ;)
Well, we really don't have defined roles per se. It really depends on the mood. However, she is a rather tactile girl, so it usually depends on her mood. If she wants held, she's the little spoon and if she wants to hold, she's the big spoon. Either way is comfortable to me.
That all changes around under different situations. If it is holding someone back from something, then I would be the big spoon. She has a short fuse and a shorter attention span than I do. It is, however, entertaining to hold her back just to see if I can make up for it later. So far, I've proven able.
((Thought I'd try my hand at one of these! Hmmm, bit fuzzy...))
