6/29/21 (and a little bit 6/30)- So while waiting for the rescue kittens to wake-up from their nap for feeding yesterday, I played a little bit of the demo for Monster Hunter Stories 2 and I LOVED IT. Meet Ranmar the Velocidrome and Tama the Kulu-Ya-Ku...I love my new babies and am SO EXCITED FOR THE GAME. If you like Pokémon and Breath of the Wild go play the demo; so far I’m loving everything about it--you don’t have to play the main Monster Hunter games or even the first MHST game to figure out what’s going on.

After some farming and 4 tries, i finally ended the main game

Headcanon that Ranmar doesn’t necessarily like me better than his original rider, he’s just decided that I, as a brand new rider, needed someone to watch over me

Also headcanon that my Kulu-ya-ku Peaches is just a super curious baby getting into all kinds of trouble and Ranmar suddenly realizes what he’s got himself into because he’s just so much older than all the literal hatchlings I’ll be getting lol

Kulu-Ya-Ku is fucking adorable, I named mine Peaches and I love her

Just gonna pretend it takes the monsteies more than a few minutes to from ‘hatchling’ to ‘big enough to ride’

I’ll put it at a week minimum, but that’s just to rideable size, not necessarily full grown

So in game I’m using Peaches (my kulu-ya-ku) right away but in the story in my head I’m actually using Ranmar and Peaches is either tagging along for easier missions or staying at the stables for harder ones.

… I only just got the game so Peaches and Ranmar are all I have right now lol

Peaches is a baby and I love her but she keeps trying to the eggs I want to hatch (headcanon)
