This is literally my first semester as a transfer student.
And it's hard. Not content wise per se, just the sheer mental toll it takes to leave everything you knew behind and you don't have a clue on what you're doing.
But yet you still keep going for this dream that seems so unattainable, but still...you see others in your family achieving the goals they dreamed of.
So maybe it's possible that I can figure out a balance and achieve my goals too :3
remind me to NEVER watch horror films ever again because holy shit.
Hi <3
I was talking to one of my girl friends on how she's struggling being herself as during this time.
Ladies and gentlemen, most cancel culture is honestly teens trying to be holier than thou's and get their ego boosted. There are people who deserve to be called out for their actions but I'm 99% sure you're not one of them. Don't go into a frenzy feeling bad for not reposting a picture, don't feel bad for being educated, don't feel bad for being girly. Everyone will have something to say about everything.
Life is not a performance. You don't need to care about everything. One thing I hate about my generation is no body is really living anymore.
Everyone's angry, depressed and/or is consumed by social media. No one's really an individual, they just think they are being individualistic by acting out.
This is part of the reason I'm inspired to be a homemaker. I want to be there for my kids. I don't want an IG baddie nor a Twitter junkie to raise them. I would hate for them to be stressed out about every little issue across the world at such a young and impressionable age. I want to teach them about health and critical thinking.
Sometimes I worry about my friends mental health, I kind of coach them and help them when they are in need. We always discuss on reality and how crazy Western media is. How if we were in the US we would be expected to pay attention to weirdos like Kevin Samuels cause we happen to be the same race, live by the phrase '' if you're not angry you don't care enough '' and have race and politics be the center of our young existence. I'm sure not all people in the US are like that but it sure seems like it.
Anyway the moral of my post is please put your phone down and start loving and appreciating the world around you, not the one on your screen. I was talking to someone on how our brain and eyes never stop processing, so as much as you think that one tik tok or that one hip hop songs lyrics aren't seeping into your mind, they really are. Guard your mind with an iron fist, I can't stress that enough .
Remember stay hot and unbothered <3
The only thing sadder than Mafuyu’s backstory, is that the song Mafuyu sang isn’t on spotify
when you realize the reason you can’t stand to hear about people drinking or be around people when they’re drinking is probably because of how your dad acted whenever he’d get drunk but it doesn’t matter because people are gonna think you’re uptight and annoying regardless..... 😗✌️
Of the many things I love about the Bold Type and Kadena, I do appreciate Kat's queer journey.
Here she is, 25 and sexual and just now having a romantic/sexual experience with a woman. Most queer coming out instances shown in media often show teens and that's extremely valid. But its also important to show those of us who didn't come out or didn't realize they might be queer until they were already adults. And in a way it makes me feel better about myself not even realizing I might be into girls until I was 20.
I guess the long/short of it is, representation matters and it's okay if you haven't gotten it figured out til your 20s
I don't trust people who genderbend every characters but leave Megatron as male.
