The roads that cross the country are known to hold many dangers – and Takemichi, first-time traveller, falls victim to his own inexperience and gets caught up in a heavy rainstorm. Fortunately for him, he comes across a remote roadside inn where he can find shelter for the night. But less fortunately, the inn’s enigmatic proprietors might turn out to not only be welcoming and alluring, but also highly deadly… It looks like there's a chance, though, that Takemichi can make it out of this trap alive and unharmed... or, well, mostly unharmed. But will it actually work out for him, or will he die far away from home before he's even made it to his first destination?

I did it! Part Two of my massive Alltake yōkai AU series 'Tales of the Traveller' is up - a day before Part One's final chapter has its one-year anniversary, lol.
I had my doubts I could make it, because what happened to my chill 10k words oneshot? Well, I kept thinking up more and more scenes and before I knew it, the word count had quadrupled. This thing is no longer a oneshot - instead, I'll be posting a new chapter every week.
I ended up having way too much fun writing this fic and I put a lot of heartblood into it, so I hope you'll like it, too! I know this ship isn't one of the popular ones (at least not in the Western half of the fandom), but please give it a chance... it's so much fun. 🙏
