He’s not a womanizer. been waiting to get that one off my chest.. that man sleeps a LOT. You think he has time to deal with 6 relationships and deal with the hassle of breakups? Nuh uh. He’s charismatic, he catches girls attention, but in tokyorevengersunlimited.. that man is SOOO uninterested in romance it’s PAINFUL. He turns girls/boys down and laughs it off, but he doesn’t go around sleeping with ‘em. (Excluding BONTEN!RAN.)

! Ran x reader HC , the talking stage is long. This man takes a while to get to know you, the trade off is that you get to know him too. You guys get to learn things about each other, it’s slow, but I think it’s worth the wait.

He’s not all that protective of rindou. Whoops.. I’m not saying he outright doesn’t care, that’s just not true..but he definitely didn’t raise rindou, they have a year-close to 2 year difference. He didn’t raise rindou. They were two dumb kids with lack of supervision. If ran was all that protective, he wouldn’t let rindou drink and go so far as being an alcoholic. He worries for his brother because he cares for him. But he doesn’t shelter him the way an overprotective or any sort of protective older brother would.

Okay, maybe not the most sexy-perfect boyfriend one to throw out there, but this man has a bunch of people after his neck, he’s violent, he can take them, he can protect you, but he’s not there all the time, he’s busy, lazy, and spoiled about his routine, he’s keeping you secret for his convenience and yours too—not to go out and cheat or anything, but because if you’re in a relationship with him, then you matter, and he doesn’t want you to get in danger.

… he’s not looking for someone submissive or to take care of. Ran cares so much about himself, I genuinely don’t think he’d want full reigns on a relationship 100% of the time. He prefers someone more mature. He loooves spoiling himself. You think he’d risk that for a relationship? The second you get in the way of his hair appointment you’re getting dumped man ..

Dependent on rindou. Not in the way where he’s constantly looking for his approval or relying on him for everything. But we never see these two have active parents. If they did they wouldn’t have ever gotten this deep into being criminals. For all we know, their parents are so absent they’re as good as orphans. They only have eachother, him and rindou are dependent on each other, and it’s not one sided.

Ran haitani cares just as much as how he’s perceived as rindou is shown to care. He is at least somewhat filled with toxic masculinity. Honestly, I think this is just a given in the way their path was built. Neither ran NOR rindou want to be perceived as weak, his special talent is ‘leaving a good first impression.’ So i doubt he’s as careless as he’s perceived. If your talent is leaving a good first impression, then you care about a first impression.

Oh, and he’d hate being tickled.

Everything aside, as much as I adore these guys, the sexualization behind both the haitani brothers makes me sooo sad. They’re watered down to womanizers when I don’t believe that. Especially on ran, he gives off the impression but that’s just not who he is. God knows he doesn’t have any time for allat.

Anyways, not to be too w.o.k.e, but I think the sexualization of male characters in media to the point it waters them down isn’t talked about the same way the sexualization of women characters is. You can’t raise a pitchfork then only protest against the front line of the issue. The haitani brothers are like the gojo satoru of Tokyo revengers, they will get mischaracterized and disregarded for who they actually are as long as you can get off to how you’ve idealized them in your smut fanfic ..
