rantingdinguslady a réagi à votre billet : What letter are you talking about?
Francis was a normal human who cherished a colleague and that is why he was depressed but Henry VIII was a sociopathic horror who ever bothered himself to write only to socially harass Anne Bolyen. After seeing himself walking almost scott-free after breaking thousands of years of traditions, i can’t see that man writing anything to man who bid his will and helped him in times of crisis( read: his obstinate will to ruin KoA and his daughter’s life). This letter seems like an urban legend like Anne Bolyen’s “sixth finger” or Katherine Howard’s last words declaring herself that she would have gladly dies a culpeper and all that.
I never said that it was real, only rumored. And if you see Henry as a ‘sociopathic horror’, well, i guess he was complicated enough to leave behind several assumptions on his real personality, but that’s not the way i picture him, nor his relationship with Francis. Depends of people i guess?

“Regarding your tag of ben being a continuation of hero's journey-yeah they genuinely don't see it and idk why. Maybe villain hero journey is new to mainstream movies? SW kinda flubbed it because of bo planning by lucas in OT maybe thats why they think Luke was the only protagonist in OT?? We have so little meta or no meta as far i can see on ben being on a hero's journey on his own right. Most of the meta focusing on redemption either come from an "what it means for other characters" angle or "script hasn't made him high stake villain enough (not true tbh) " angle.”
——— I don’t know if anyone else has made a diagram for Ben’s hero’s journey (I’m sure they have, somewhere) but I’m going to do it myself. Reading the Hero with the Thousand Faces, and he’s for sure on a hero’s journey in his own right and not just a character/antagonist that affects other characters. And Star Wars has Anakin as a Hero in both the other trilogies, so the idea of an antagonist also being on a hero’s journey is very natural. (see this post about Darth Vader’s hero’s journey) I’m reading the whole “Meeting with the Goddess/Sacred Marriage” section and I'm having heart twinges about how very Reylo it is:
“The Meeting with the Goddess/Sacred Marriage - The ultimate adventure is a mystical marriage of the triumphant hero-soul with the Queen Goddess of the World. This is the crisis at the nadir, the zenith, or at the uttermost edge of the earth, at the central point of the cosmos, in the tabernacle of the temple, or within the darkness of the deepest chamber of the heart. She is the paragon of all paragons of beauty, the reply to all desire, the bliss-bestowing goal of every hero's earthly and unearthly quest. She is mother, sister, mistress, bride. Whatever in the world has lured, whatever has seemed to promise joy, has been premonitory of her existence—in the deep of sleep, if not in the cities and forests of the world. For she is the incarnation of the promise of perfection; the soul's assurance that, at the conclusion of its exile in a world of organized inadequacies, the bliss that once was known will be known again: the comforting, the nourishing, the "good" mother—young and beautiful—who was known to us, and even tasted, in the remotest past. Time sealed her away, yet she is dwelling still, like one who sleeps in timelessness, at the bottom of the timeless sea. Woman, in the picture language of mythology, represents the totality of what can be known. The hero is the one who comes to know. As he progresses in the slow initiation which is life, the form of the goddess undergoes for him a series of transfigurations. And if he can match her import, the two, the knower and the known, will be released from every limitation. Woman is the guide to the sublime acme of sensuous adventure. By deficient eyes she is reduced to inferior states; by the evil eye of ignorance she is spellbound to banality and ugliness. But she is redeemed by the eyes of understanding. The hero who can take her as she is, with the kindness and assurance she requires, is potentially the king, the incarnate god, of her created world. The goddess guardian of the inexhaustible well requires that the hero should be endowed with what the troubadours termed the "gentle heart." Not by the animal desire, not by the fastidious revulsion can she be comprehended and rightly served, but only by gentle sympathy. The meeting with the goddess (who is incarnate in every woman) is the final test of the talent of the hero to win the boon of love (charity: amor fati), which is life itself enjoyed as the encasement of eternity. And when the adventurer, in this context, is not a youth but a maid, she is the one who, by her qualities, her beauty, or her yearning, is fit to become the consort of an immortal. Then the heavenly husband descends to her and conducts her to his bed— whether she will or no. And if she has shunned him, the scales fall from her eyes; if she has sought him, her desire finds its peace.” - Joseph Campbell

i hope she doesn't drag Hiddleston into this since he has been nothing but nice to her before , during and after their break-up. she will end up looking more shitty especially after her lying debacle with kanye.
I believe she will. If she is going to drag an ex in this album is going to be him, even if everybody knows that relationship was pure PR (she did it so with harry styles). She is not going to try it with calvin harris because he would not take it. He already gave a piece of his mind after she tried to sell the narrative that the break up was his fault and I think she is afraid of what he may tell about her (he is a shitty person, tho). But Tom is an easy target. He can not bite back because his public persona is this british gentleman. His whole reputation would go to hell if he dared to say a single not nice thing about her. So, if she wants to write about him, she will. The only reason why she wouldn’t do it, is if she thought it would be bad for her career. I don’t know what his PR team was thinking when they decided to do that stunt.

for a person who hasn't read the books, you are more smarter than the whole lot of show-onlies and pegged the show for what it is. TRASH. Everyone is a jackass now except for Sansa( who was crazy last season so..) and i am rooting for Night's King. He is the most consistent thing. Incidentally the writers wants us to hate sansa and like Jon and Dany for that matter. LOL! no.
(2) Just read the books in free time because it will give you peace to know good things exist.
I mean, I decided that I’m a Lannister, which is bad because they are Lancasters, so they are going to lose this war. The Starks are not insane but they are dumb (except my girl Sansa) and the Targaryens are overrated. They have the dragons and that’s it. They can’t even design a properly military strategy. A mess. Plus, Daenerys is going to end up insane and the dragons are a danger. She is going to lose one of the dragons to the Night Walkers or White Walkers, whatever it’s their name, like...
I heard something like that... They need to try it harder for me to hate my girl Sansa and to love JonxDany, probably the worst couple ever. He is dumb and she is unstable, like... I feel sorry por Westeros.
I’ll read the books at some point, but I want George to end the saga first xD

seriously, just avoid them . Some people are delusional enough to believe that hey can never be wrong or idiotic and have no intention to change even when presented with evidence of their idiocy or incomprehension.
it seems that i’m not desilusional enough yet......
