This is something everyone should realise - early game access or review copies or extra goodies or similar things do influence the relationship between the influencer and the publisher - that is actually the whole point of it from the publisher - it's marketing.

While some people might be honestly trying their best to even through it stay objective and some of them manage it decently, many don't, many don't care, and for many it means their livelihood, and therefore might not even try.

Even just making some clause "it's not ideal, but they'll sure fix it soon" instead of just "this feature really made the game not work well when I played it" can be an unwitting softening of the tone just to stay on the good side, but appear "objective" still. You simply cannot really tell (unless it's just glaring), as there is the inherent conflict of interest, which already influences their behaviour - you should take everything in such situations with cautious mind and a handbag of salt and not blindly trust, make the realisation there is a connection between the influencer and the publisher and what it means and make that inform your conclusion.

This base idea is also something that should be considered in the Age of Empires community regarding the flow of money and influence.
