I'm in the mood to reblog an old post of mine where I say that Merlin is actually the one who never realized that his love for Arthur was platonic AND ROMANTIC (for a Lot of reasons)... While Arthur was aware that he felt platonic and romantic love for Merlin, he voluntarily and consciously ignored it in order to love Gwen more honestly (because his love for Gwen is real and very important), and to maintain the line he believed protected Merlin and the socially functioning status quo... But it's such an old post that I can't find it... Anyway

Many in a certain fandom forget that while one ran away when the other was being more affectionate. He was not the first to flee. Because there was a time long before when the other ran away when he realized that they were starting to ask more personal questions.

And I'm just saying, why is the fandom so fixated on finding villains in a story where the villain IS SOCIETY? It's a very important message, people, don't downplay it by victimizing the protagonists.Neither of them is perfect. They both made mistakes that hurt the other.

I need someone to invent a term to separate "dark! I Will make suffer and torture my beloved" from "dark! I will set the world on fire for my beloved" Because I can't stand any more disappointments
