YouNeek Studios Graphic Novels to be Published by Dark Horse Comics
Roye Okupe’s YouNeek Studios universe is going to be published by Dark Horse Comics. Okupe’s works were previously self-published. The Dark Horse Comics releases will include never-before-seen bonus material. The first graphic novels from the YouNeek Youniverse line being published by Dark Horse are Malika: Warrior Queen, Iyanu: Child of Wonder, and E.X.O: The Legend of Wale Williams.

Malika: Warrior Queen Volume 1, from Okupe, Chima Kalu, and Raphael Kazeem, releases on September 7, 2021. The graphic novel follows Malika. When she inherits the crown of from her father Azzaz splits in half, resulting in years of civil war. She will finally united the empire and grow, but expansion has its costs.
Iyanu: Child of Wonder Volume 1, from Okupe and Godwin Akpan, will release on September 21, 2021. The graphic novel follows Iyanu, an orphan with amnesia. She discovers she has special abilities that would rival the deities from folklore. Her abilities may be the key to bringing back the “age of wonders” and save her world from destruction.
E.X.O: The Legend of Wale Williams Volume 1, from Okupe, Sunkanmi Akinboye, and Raphael Kazeem, releases on October 19, 2021. The graphic novel is described as “an Afrofuturist superhero story about redemption” and follows Wale Williams from the metropolis of Lagos, Nigeria. Williams moonlights as E.X.O. a tech savy superhero who battles deadly extremists.
