I love how pro marriage Princess and the frog was, like the Rapunzel fairy tale and every adaptation of it should be. Disney's anti marriage series is offensive to the source material and was so clearly written by a hater of the movie, I still don't get how anyone can defend that crap. But it will never be canon to me.

Still wishing the live action tangled movie will at least end with a wedding or an accepted proposal at least.

Sleeping Beauty did it right by showing that marriage is only awful if it's with someone you don't love but that it's wonderful with someone you love and who loves you. Tangled's trash series basically either sent the complete opposite message or showed that Flynn was not Rapunzel's true love. But that will never be canon.

Still hoping and praying Disney will listen to romance and marriage fans for once and end the live action with a wedding, especially since almost everyone on that twitter post wanted a wedding in live action.

To me, the most important scenes in any Rapunzel adaptations should be the tear healing scene through true love and not girlboss magic she could use on anyone and then either the wedding scene or the accepted proposal scene because the Brothers Grimm clearly wrote: when he asked her if she would take him as her husband, she said yes and placed her hand into his. I will never forgive disney for ruining that, especially considering the Tangled ever after wedding short looking like it's set shortly after the movie and even reports from around that time claimed it picks up where tangled left off and even the Royal theater performance at disneyland claims it wasn't long until they married, so the original writers clearly intended for Rapunzel and Flynn to marry shortly after the movie.

This video is meant as a tribute to the fairytale and also for Wilhelm Grimm's 240th birthday, so I used the german version of I see the light.

I will never forgive Tangled's garbage series for ruining what the Brothers Grimm clearly wrote: when he asked her if she would take him as her husband, she said yes and placed her hand into his. I will never forgive Disney for destroying that, especially considering the Tangled ever after wedding short looking like it's set shortly after the movie and even reports from around that time claimed it picks up where tangled left off and even the Royal theater performance at Disneyland claims it wasn't long until they married, so the original writers clearly intended for Rapunzel and Flynn to marry shortly after the movie. No rejected proposals. The line at the end of the movie was just meant as a joke. And in real life, nobody stays together after a rejected proposal. I'm so sick of Disney's nonsense. Back in 2012, they still valued romance and marriage before frozen came and ruined everything.

It's completely unfair how Flynn is the only version of Rapunzel's prince who didn't get his proposal accepted the first time if counting this trash series. And he's the only one who was not raised as a prince but as an orphan, proving how classist Disney is. I'll just pretend the Royal theater is the only version of tangled that matters and comfort myself with other adaptations. Modern Disney can go to hell.

I think this song fits the Rapunzel fairy tale so much and the fairy tale was also similar to Cinderella where love and marriage freed the girls from abusive mothers.

It's unfair how all disney princess movies released around that time (Cinderella 3, Enchanted and Princess and the frog) were so pro marriage but the movie based on a fairy tale about the importance of marriage in a love relationship (Tangled) only got a horrible, ambiguous, toxic joke in the end about marriage. They could have fixed that with the wedding short but then they should have stopped and not squeezed in a garbage series which was completely anti marriage into the story and I still refuse to count that canon.

Since this song literally talked about wedding bells ringing, I just had to do a video with the different Rapunzel versions because of the importance of marriage in the fairy tale.

In 2012, Disney still allowed also still allowed a riddle in the disney princess magazines where the wedding bells were ringing for Rapunzel not too long after the movie, something that would never be allowed today anymore. If only I could go back to the pre-frozen era of disney.
