Ok so
You know how many ITW productions make the baker pretty old. Like his 40s or 50s even sometimes.
But they make rapunzel a young woman maybe early 20s
Think about that for a second.
“In the past, when you were no more than a babe…”
RIGHT??
Anyways, my mom and I made a fan theory that makes this work so you can still cast your oldie baker and your young child Rapunzel.
The witch casted a spell that kept Rapunzel young. It’s the same type of magic that kept the witch alive for so long. Of course she’d want to keep her baby young.
It’s literally the exact opposite of Disney’s Rapunzel and that adds more sick epic parallels.

"Because of the way you treated me, I'll never, never be happy!"
We loved the shades of pink in Rapunzel's dress, and this one was perfect as it had a ribbon-esque design (as do the shoes) as well as the flowers, like in her room. We also have a thorn themed bracelet and circlet (emphasizing that long Rapunzel hair) that reference the thorns that blind her prince. To tie it together we have a chic gold purse and pink studs.
{Look like Rapunzel at Prom!}
